    To whom this may concern,I was in a car accident as of April 29, 2023. Following the accident I, for which I was not at fault, I had imaging done at gem state radiology. I had an attorney who was arranging the med pay and other financial aspects of this case. During this time I contacted them myself to make sure things were explained and that the payment was wrapped up in a lawsuit, and would be payed out soon after all the medical was closed out. This business told me that this would be okay and that I had nothing to worry about. It came time for my attorney to close everything out, and he and I signed the final paperwork saying that everyone had been payed out. I thought this issue was taken care of until earlier this year when a collections agency contacted me about credit on this account. **************************** started harassing me as Gem State Radiology had sent me to collections. I contacted the attorney and they said that they had sent legal tender multiple times in the form of a check to cover the cost of my scan. The company was simply not accepting the money, the attorney had called over to discuss this with them and kept hitting a brick wall.I myself tried calling to clear this up but nothing ever came of it. As of this last month, the attorney called to have me "just pick up the check" and pay out the collections agency; however, interest has accrued on the account, ****************** will still not respond. To summarize, they wrongfully sent me to collections which can hurt my credit, failed to accept legal tender, and have failed to respond to any attempts of communication.Thank you for your time and consideration.Sincerely,Jasper

    Dear Mr. *********** appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns. The decision to send the account to a collection agency was not made lightly nor without due diligence on trying to work with you. It appears on 11/22/23  you communicated with our call center stating you would be making your payment at a later date;  due to no payment being received the account followed our standard escalation process. Once an account is turned to collections it may be subject to  additional fees which are assessed by the collection agency. We understand these fees can be frustrating but they are beyond our control once the account transfers.  I apologize for the inconvenience and feel certain you can work directly with the collection agency to satisfy your owed balance.

    I had a planned, and pre approved, imaging done last July.Recently I started receiving text messages from an unknown company stating I need money and to "click" the link to pay my bill.Only recently did I receive an actual bill and it was a final notice.I called 3 times to the billing department and was lied to.My insurance company called and the billing department did not follow through as promised.

    I understand your frustrations. In reviewing your **** services it appears the insurance paid and then requested their money back which caused you to receive the multiple communications. However, I can see where your charges have been satisfied in May 2024. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any further concerns.

    My wife had a ** scan. I asked up front what the cost was. I was quoted a price and paid them the entire cost. A month later I get an additional bill for $28. Now I asked what this would cost prior to having the ** scan done. This company scams people by sending small bills later asking for an additional cost. If they can't train their people to quote the entire price on a procedure with a known cost it should not be my responsibility to pay for their incompetence. I always ask cost up front and I always pay that quoted price up front. As far as I am concerned this is just a scam to collect a few more bucks on an already exorbitant bill.

    I was billed for services back in July 2022. The amount not covered by insurance was $33.84 which I paid online through US Bank on 7/25. I received a confirmation from US Bank that this amount had been paid to Gem State Radiology, payment # ****. However the week of December 5th 2022, I received a Collections letter from **************************** saying this had never been paid. I tried calling Gem State Radiology twice and left messages, and no one ever got back to me. In addition, I never received any other letter, phone call or other correspondence before being told the account had been handed over to collections. This will affect my credit score and I intend taking this company to court for defamation since their actions are completely unwarranted in this situation.
