      After waiting for over 12 months for a occupational therapy session for my child, Chatterbox texted me on 4/17/2023 and said they had 1 opening only, in Mondays from ****pm., smack in the middle of school days. They also stated I had 24 hours to confirm. So I worked with his teachers and they arranged so I could take him out of school for that time. We went to our first appointment on Monday 4/24/2023 and we're relieved to begin, after waiting an entire year. They had to do a new evaluation, because it had been over a year and the previous evaluation expired. Then today 4/27/23 I get an text at 3pm stating that the weekly appointment has been moved to 1pm. This doesn't work, because my child has his ***************** pull out Mondays at 110pm. So I call them and they tell me that that is the only appointment available now, due to a new administrative schedule, and that he will be placed back on the waitlist, and it can take another year before he is seen. I find this completely unreasonable. I am so frustrated. They do not appear to be interested in actually providing services for children. I paid $50 for the re-evaluation this week, I don't know what I paid last year. My issue is that my child needs services, not this run around.

      Your frustration regarding the wait and unanticipated therapy schedule change are valid. Unfortunately, waitlists throughout the Treasure Valley for pediatric therapy services are long, especially for Occupational Therapy. Additionally, our implementation of an hour-long mid-day clinic closure for the purposes of encouraging therapist collaboration and fostering a team atmosphere happened to be poorly timed with your sons recently scheduled weekly session. We understand the effort you put into rearranging your sons schedule to make the available appointment time work and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Evaluations from one therapy practice can be used at another therapy practice. If youd like to pursue services at a different facility,please let ** know. We would be happy to provide a copy of the evaluation and treatment plan for you to take elsewhere.
