We purchased an ** from RVs and Boats for Less in early 2023 for our small rental business, and paid them to install a solar system with a Renogy charger/inverterapproximately $1500 plus around $1000 for the inverter. Unfortunately, they installed the inverter without a critical fuse between the battery and inverter, creating a serious fire hazard. This not only endangered our customers and property, but also voided the warranty on our inverter and battery. From day one, the system experienced repeated faults, leading to multiple service calls and customers left without power. We returned the ** at least five times and were given shifting explanations: the battery (brand-new, tested lithium), the bank size (correctly specd), or the solar panel setup. They hadnt even tested the battery before blaming it.After an independent inspection revealed the fire risk, we brought the ** back and demanded it be made safe. They installed the missing fuse, claimed the system was fine, but it failed againdraining the battery and disabling everything including the electric tongue jack.We were told the employee responsibile was fired for negligence, but little effort has been made to correct the situation. At one point, they offered to uninstall the system for free so we could pay someone else to do it properly. Despite being told the problem is this several times, no real diagnostics were performed and we still have no resolution or possession of our property. The dealership has had our ** for three weeks, with no clear resolution. We've been denied access to the owner, given contradictory explanations, and told a sales event was more pressing than our safety issue. As of now, theres no update and no proposed solution. This experience has been both unsafe and unprofessional. There's been no accountability, and no action to resolve a dangerous install. We want to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else and require our property back in working order.
