      September 27th, 2022 Went in to mckees to get some crickets for my bearded dragon looked around because we wanted to get a bunny had 2 bunnies picked out that we liked a fluffy lop ear black and white with bites taken out of his ear and scratches inside along with scabs down its back and side. A fulffy *************** bunny that again had bites taken out of its ear. Scratches in ears and down sides and back and an open hole leading to west looked like a bone. Told two employees who told their manager with us standing there they acknowledged what was happening because they knew and said Ill look into it but just stood at the counter I dont know what happened after we left. On multiple occasions they have had animals leave with parvo or hurt or sick other kinds of animals

      The bunnies apparently weren't getting along and had a fight causing the bite marks. Our employees checked on them, separated the bunnies to their own individual cage as soon as we could. We appreciate that it was brought to our attention. I was not in the store at the time. I checked them later and texted our vet that evening. At 8am this morning the vet checked the bunnies, treated them and instructed us to keep them separate and wait for them to heal. Our vet does come through on a regular basis. We also get surprise visits throughout the year by federal inspectors. We work closely with them and try to follow any suggestions or demands they bring up. The bunnies have been put in individual cages and will be checked daily as the wounds heal.
