I started receiving care this Spring under the understanding that I would be using insurance. I was assured other people in organization that I work for are also using insurance. I filled with receipts with my insurance.Who then contacted me that they need more detailed receipts with codes for the care received. I asked in writing and several times face to face for these receipts. They said they would each time but never did. I called my insurance company who called them asking for the same. They have not. That was in May. I have not received care since April but they continue to charge my card and will not give receipts, so I can claim and get refunded by my insurance company.

We do not bill insurance directly, but as a free service provide documentation for patients who request it if they wish to submit to their insurance company on their own. Due to losing several employees at the beginning of the year, we accumulated a large backlog of documentation requests, and have slowly been catching up after hiring and training new team members. It was not our intention, but in this instance, the documentation turnaround took much longer than desired.

As for the ongoing charges, the patient had an outstanding balance and was paying off his extended payment plan. After auditing the account, the patient did in fact have a credit of $48.50 due to an x-ray appointment that was not utilized at the end of the care plan. This credit was issued.

I would like to note, in their letter they state we don't bill insurance directly and this is a free service and we had a backlog. This was never mentioned even once. There was no communication on that it would take time. I also think context is important, they didn't respond at all until my last payment came through and they got a BBB complaint. I was paying them and receiving no care and no communication since May.
