BUYER BE ****!!! They will auto debit your form of payment because it's an ANNUAL subscription even if you do not check the box to save your form of payment. Your card information is captured on the app. You have to find the refund policy under terms at the bottom of the website to learn how to unsubscribe. I dontated once to my grandsond's fundraiser and now fighting with my creditor to get my money back when I haven't purchased anything since.

When you had reached out to us regarding the charge you had noticed on your statement, you had already disputed the transaction as fraudulent with your banking institution. We then let you know that we'd be more than happy to refund you the renewal fee once the dispute has been resolved on your banking institution's end. While the transaction is in the dispute status, we no longer have access to these funds to return to you.

1 starAll I wanted to do was to give some money to support my granddaughters dance team. As I gave them my credit card information, I was informed that my gift automatically subscribes me to a discount purchasing program. I don't want to belong to a discount purchasing program, but there was no way to decline it, and I was told that I could cancel it in a year when they bill me for it. It will be easy, they said. A year later I got an email and a text telling me that in a week my credit card will be billed for a years membership in Vertical Discounts. The email went to my spam folder, but I saw the text. It also said that if I wanted to cancel, I should click on the link they provided. Im leery about clicking on a link from an unfamiliar source, so I stewed about it for a few days, but finally opened the link and answered the questions to cancel. I thought I was done, but a few moments later a message popped up on the screen telling me that to complete the cancellation process, I had to contact the company. I gave up. This multi-step process is not easy. If they really wanted to make it easy, they would have allowed me to respond yes or no to their original text or email. Vertical Discounts is charging me for a service I have never wanted and never used. They are betting that my desire to support my grandchilds activity is stronger than my reticence to subscribe to an unwanted service. And they go out of their way to make sure that cancellation isnt easy. I think this business model stinks. If it isnt already illegal, it should be.Review fromLauree R

Last year I made a donation to my grandsons baseball fundraiser. It was for $25 plus whatever service fee they charged..Today I got notice that there was another $25.94 charged on my debit I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS CHARGE. THEY MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT AN AUTOMATIC RENEWAL, WHICH I DID NOT AGREE TO.Ive tried calling the company couldnt get a hold of anybody. *** sent an email, but who knows if theyll answer it.Vertical Raise

You reached out to us on 09/16/2024 requesting a refund for the auto-renewal of the subscription you purchased last year to support ****** ***** Basketball. We send out notifications a week prior to your renewal date to allow individuals the ability to cancel their subscription prior to the auto-renewal. We advertised on the fundraiser page last year that you were purchasing a subscription to support ****** ***** Basketball and the authorization was given at the time you made your contribution.
You were refunded the auto-renewal fee and your subscription was cancelled when you reached out to us on 09/16/2024 and we responded letting you know via email.

I am deeply concerned by the methods used by Vertical Raise/Vertical Discounts. My child's school sports program enlisted this program to help raise money for their activity. The company asks each child to provide ***************************************************** August 2023, they sent repeated emails soliciting these donations, and when people did donate, the enrolled them in an automatic "subscription" program unknowingly, and stored their credit card and contact information without permission. There are now hundreds of parents, community members and supporters of our program about to be be charged a renewal subscription fee by Vertical Raise/Vertical Discounts, that they likely didn't know about or authorize. This was not something that the program explained and I feel like they took advantage of young students to make this happen. I have canceled my "subscription" that I didn't even know I had, and now the company will not remove my credit card and contact information from their system. They say another company called Stripe is actually storing my information via the Vertical Discount application. I did not authorize any of this, and I feel like their responses to me have been rude and unhelpful. They even tried to blame the program coach for this issue. This company uses deceptive practices and takes advantage of young kids to make money, and stores personal and financial information of those who were willing to donate to these young kids. We did not try to blame the coach. We simply stated that we offer multiple types of fundraisers and the coach choose our discount app fundraiser. On this type of fundraiser, to donate, you must click on "Buy Now" so it is very clear they are making a purchase. When checking out, it says "By confirming your payment, you allow Veridical Raise to charge you for this payment and future payments in accordance with their terms". At that point, they click on Donate and it shows the amount that will be charged to their card. We send out an email and a text message letting the subscriber know their subscription is about to renew with a link to cancel their subscription if they do not want to renew or the option to reach out to Vertical Raise to cancel it for them. Vertical Raise does not store any personal information in their system. We do use Stripe as our credit card processing system which is where their personal information is stored and we do not have access to that information. We have done our best to let people know about their subscription. We have done nothing unethical.

Got a text and email from them saying I needed to cancel or manage my subscription or it would auto renew in a week. I have never heard of this company and have read they are a scam. I don't know how they got my email and phone number.Vertical Raise

We offer our traditional online fundraiser, a popcorn fundraiser, and a Vertical Discount App fundraiser. We show that you donated to a participant that was on one of our discount app fundraisers on 9/12/23. Vertical Raise will trick you into donating an extra 15% to your fundraiser. There is supposedly an option to add $0 instead of the locked-in amount of 15%. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MORE MONEY!Vertical Raise

We refunded your full donation amounts back to you as well as the optional tips on 07/05/2024 after you reached out to ** to request a refund of the optional tip that you have the ability to remove at the time of your contribution.
You were informed we cannot process partial refunds twice, as well as provided screenshots for you to view where the option to remove the tip is located. I do show you were able to donate to the ******* Girls Soccer Fundraiser 2024 successfully on 07/05/2024 without the optional tip after you informed us the option was not available to you.
