Zero stars would be better... A week before Christmas I went to *** on Government Way to mail a a letter to my mother in **********. It contained a short message, two $100 bills, and a $100 ****** gift card. These were Christmas presents for my mother who is 77 years old, **********, and has little good in her life. I asked the person at the counter if I could insure the letter and was told no because the envelope contained cash. He asked if I would like to pay extra for next day delivery. I said yes and paid. I tracked the package two days later to ******, an hour from my mother's house. It supposedly sat there for 4 days before the *** tracking page asked me if I would like to file a claim. I did so but it did not go through for some reason. I have no idea why but I repeatedly got an error message on the *** website. I then called the UPS store on Government way and spoke with someone who said his name is ****. He said they would file a claim on their end for me since I mailed the letter from their location. This was on Dec 23. The letter was supposed to be delivered on Dec 19. He said to give him until the day after Christmas but he assured me that he would call me that day or at the latest Dec 27. Obviously the letter was stolen by a *** employee. Supposedly it is still sitting at their facility over 2 weeks later in ******, even though I paid extra for "next day delivery". *** on the phone directed me to call the store today, the place where I mailed the letter. This is a dishonest business. Whoever **** is openly lied when he had no reason to do so. I was polite when I called and just wanted to know when the letter would be delivered to my mother. *** is a bad place. I will next file a complain with the Better Business Bureau. If you want your package delivered and not stolen by *** employees, I suggest using a different delivery *********** just sent me $13.19 today to refund my delivery fee. Unfortunately the $300 is still not returned.***** ******
