I contracted with ***** *****, owner of S&S Masonry Division, LLC, to make repairs to the brick facade on my home. On 8/29/24, the job was completed and paid in full. My issue is this: while the ***** was performing repairs on a brick windowsill, he broke the glass on a 2nd-story window. He said nothing to anyone about the damages. Next morning, 8/30/24, my tenant called and told me of the broken window in his room. I took pictures and texted ***** showing him the damages...no response. Then I called him and we discussed the broken window. He said his worker said nothing to him about any damages. I asked ***** how he was going to handle this; he said didn't know any glass companies or how to deal with this. I referred ***** to ********** Glass, as they are a well-know and reputable company here in *****, he said, "ok". He called ********** and someone came out that day to measure for a new window. ********** emailed ***** a Quote on 9/3/24. (Copy attached.)Time went by, I heard nothing so I called ********** to ask about the progress of the new window; they said they had not received payment from *****. So I called *****, he said he never received a quote from **********. I asked him to call them and work it out, he said he would. FYI; ********** will not place an order for a custom-sized window before receiving a deposit or payment in full. There was no action or communication from *****. I called, left voice mails, text messages. No response. I tried emailing him and the emails were returned as undeliverable, until the last one I sent, so I know he did receive at least one notice of payment due. On 10/25/24, I called **********, still no payment or communication from *****, so I paid for the window, $490.00, so they could at least get the window ordered and get it installed before the weather turned cold. December 3, 2024, the window was ************ goal is to hold ***** *****, S&S Masonry Division, LLC, accountable and collect the $490.00.
