We purchased a low mileage used pickup on Saturday, 09/14/24, from this dealership. The salesman understood we were coming from over 4 hours away. Once we arrived, I did a visual inspection and test drove the vehicle with no blaring concerns, so purchased it. The salesman told us while waiting that the dealership is good to their customers and cares about their reputation, which gave us peace of mind in buying a used vehicle. While driving the 4 plus hours home that evening, the check engine light started coming on intermittently. After diagnosing the issues, I contacted our salesman via phone on Friday, 09/20/24. He said he would see what they could do. Since then, *** tried calling back a few times for an update, left a voicemail, and sent a text with no response or update from anyone. Now were stuck with thousands in repairs all occurring literally after driving it off the lot. These issues were stored codes, so they werent new issues and should have been repaired prior to the sale (or at least disclosed to us). We are attaching an image of the scanner showing the codes, primarily the active codes and a stored code for the low line pressure. I am asking the dealer to help cover the cost of parts at minimum, given the circumstances. Since we live so far away, it is not an option to bring the vehicle to them for repair, but were happy to discuss options if they will communicate with us, which they have ignored us since our initial call.

I found a truck online and purchased on Jan. from Hometown ***** in ********* **. I live in **. so I made decision based on pictures and information sent to me from salesman ****** S******* Originally I was told I could put a deposit on truck fly to ***** pay balance and drive it home. They changed up on that and insisted I pay vehicle in full sight unseen or they wouldnt hold it for me. I really needed the truck and ****** assured me it was a low mileage trade in with only ******* mi., it was in their service department having the brakes done and when that was complete it would be ready to go. So I paid for the truck did some figuring and decided it made more sense for me to have the truck shipped rather than fly and drive. I made the arrangements and had truck picked up and brought to me. Upon arriving engine was knocking, not in condition I was expecting, I was advised by a local shop not to drive it or I would end up having to replace entire motor. I didnt have the $$ to have the shop repair it. I knew at very least it had to be torn down new lifters installed, camshaft, gaskets Only feasible option was tear it down myself. As Im figuring what needs to be done ****** is calling & texting demanding I sign these papers they sent.. The papers were stating that I received a as-is buyers guide, that I had not, that Hometown Chevrolet owed me nothing as of my signing.. Basically signing all my rights away. I discussed the problems with the truck with ****** he said he would talk to sales manager and get back to me, when he did he offered to give me $600 dollars back. $100 from him personally and $500 from Hometown. I didnt feel it was nearly enough considering the cost just to be able to drive the low mileage ready to go truck I purchased. Finally I decided to just accept it consider it a learning experience and move forward. I signed the papers adding terms we agreed upon. Now they are refusing to refund or send my title!! Worst experience ever!
