I purchased a 2017 Jeep patriot on the 22nd of December 2023. I paid cash for the vehicle. BB Auto Wholesale told me they would send the title to the Oregon *** and pay for the title transfer fees. On Thursday, the 1st of February, I texted the salesman and asked where the title was since I hadn't received it. I was told one minute later that it was sent to *****. I went to the *** that day and asked if they had received it. They had not. I called the owners wife on the 6th of February to ask about getting a new temporary registration since mine was expiring shortly. I asked when the title had been sent off ****** said it was sent off on Monday the 5th of February. That was 4 days after I was told it had already been sent off. After some time I received a letter from the *** about monies owed for the title transfer and registration. I sent more messages about their promise to pay the title transfer fee. I was told on March 8 , 2024 that they would mail me a check. I waited as long as I could to go to the *** to transfer the title and register my vehicle. I titled and registered it on April 09, 2024. It was then that I was informed by the *** that the Jeep had an Idaho branded salvage title. I was not informed of this at anytime during the purchase process or after. It was not on the ad on the internet, nor was it in any of my paperwork that I received from them. After finding this out I tried many times to call them. It always went straight to voicemail. I then used my daughter's phone to call them and they answered right away. I then realized they had blocked my phone number. I told them that I had never received the check for the title transfer. He said they would send another to me. I also told him that I found out it was a salvage title and that wasn't disclosed to me. He said it was stated on the ad. It definitely was not on the ad. With a salvage title my Jeep is worth 20-40% less than I paid for it. I don't know what the damages were or if it is safe.
