      Business Response

      Date: 09/01/2023

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the statement from ******************************  In late March, Ms.******** brought ** a **** Jeep Wrangler that was in rough shape and needed numerous repairs.  We replaced, among other things, the brakes, suspension, steering gear, and oil pressure switch.  Ms. ******** was advised, prior to us working on the car, that the vehicle had leaks emanating from the rear main seal, oil pan and pinion seal.  Ms. ******** declined the work to remedy the leaks.

Fast forward several weeks, Ms. ******** calls ** to complain about the leaks which she had earlier declined to fix.  Given that the customer had spent a considerable amount with us, we made the decision to complete the work at a heavily discounted rate.  Ms. ******** paid $363 for repairs that we would normally charge $915 for.  Ms. ******** picks up the vehicle and calls us several weeks later stating that the vehicle is stalling at lights.  This was an entirely new concern and unrelated to anything that we had fixed prior. Amid the threat of a poor review, we decided to do the work for free to have the customer leave our business satisfied (a $1350 repair).

Ms. ******** proceeds to write us a 1-star ****** review and levies obscene accusations against our Store Manager ***********  I personally call ****** to hear her perspective and offer to have the vehicle inspected by our other location if she wants a second opinion.  She agrees and says she will call me once she is ready to have us pick-up the vehicle.  The phone call never comes

I guess its true that no good deed goes unpunished.  Unfortunately, its a ****** we have learned at the expense of a 1-star review and a complaint to the BBB.  We have informed Ms. ******** that her business is no longer welcome at any of our locations.  With a 30-year track record of serving the community and a 4.8 average ****** rating, its clear that we provide honest high-quality work.

      Regards,

      Paul
