The landscaper did not complete his task at a high enough quality level to earn the amount he was paid. He cut corners, and did not show up to fix issues. We paid him to put down mulch, and he left a layer of Rock without removing it, so the mulch is ruined with fragments of rock. he also left the weed mesh that was under the rock in place, so the mesh is showing through the mulch. The mulch was also very poor quality and was dried out and blowing around with the wind and getting onto our neighbors yard.He placed grass down and put it close to the house, so the house is starting to become damaged due to the perspiration from the grass and from the sprinklers.when we asked him to fix his work, we could not get a hold of him and he would verbally commit to fixing it and never show up.we had verbally agreed for him to do many more things such as plant trees, and plant flowers and to build a grid above the fence for a growing vines, and he did not do this. because I did not have it down in writing, I let that slide because its my fault for not having a contract. But we do expect him to do his job to a high-quality which he did not.We had two other landscapers come out and look at his work. They both said that the work was done improperly and that we were way overcharged for what he did even if he had done everything properly. That they wouldve charged half the price. We ended up paying somebody else to completely redo everything that he did.We paid the new landscaper 1400 to completely remove all the mulch that ***** put down, including all the Rock he was supposed to remove and the mesh lining. They remove the grass surrounding the house and the fence to prevent further deterioration of our property.
