On 4 Oct 20** I discovered water leaking into my basement family room. My son immediately began vacuuming up the water from the carpet and placing fans to dry it. I contacted ****************** and they recommended Paul Davis Restorations of Idaho Falls. I called this company and asked them to help. Two workers showed up on Friday 7 Oct 20**. They said to the effect, "Oh you've already dried the carpet." However they brought fans in and turned them on. They then began ripping up the wet padding and tearing off paneling affected by the water. They spent two hours doing this and we discussed the 50 gallon fish tank next to the wall. I told them it weighed **** lbs. and could not be moved. They believed they could move it. They returned the following Monday 9 Oct 20** and the lead fellow told me they would not move the fish tank. They then began slicing the carpet in several places. About this time a supervisor showed up and told me they would have to move the fish tank and I told him they would not be able to. The supervisor then got very belligerent and insisted they were going to move it. I told him there were very exotic and expensive fish in the tank and that I was unwilling to risk breaking the tank and losing the fish, and they were not to move the tank. The supervisor then got very angry and told his men to gather their tools and leave, which they did. Leaving me with they had created and never returning. In the mean time my insurance company, State Farm, denied my claim. I took care of fixing the walls and carpet complicated by their shoddy work and several cuts in the carpet. I thought no more of it. Then, on 26 October 20** I received an invoice (#**-4045-E-TD) from Paul Davis Restorations of Idaho Falls for $1494.86 with no itemizing whatsoever. I requested an itemized invoice on two occasions and they have totally ignored me. I finally paid the bill today, 16 Dec 20** but I plan to *** them in small claims court.Business Response

Yes, we would like the opportunity to respond to this and further clarify. We will contact the homeowner today and address the billing concerns and do our best to resolve.***************************

I am rejecting this response because: they told me they would send me a detailed breakdown of the charges and I could not open the attachments to their e-mail which I can only suppose contained a copy of the detailed invoice I asked for.
