****** of Glow Hair Co, a brunette specialist colored my hair. I paid over $350+. Not even 3 weeks after having my hair done, all of my color washed out, even though I had told her that my hair previously did not take to color when going from light to dark. I followed her aftercare instructions. I politely reached out to her with my concerns of such a quick wash out, and was told that gradual fading is expected; however, this was not gradual. This was after one wash. I even had individuals ask me if I had lightened my hair after going dark again. I then decided to send before/after/3 weeks post-apt. photos to my aunt (who is a celebrity hair and makeup artist that is constantly featured in Rocky Mountain Bride) to ask her opinion. She agreed with me, and could not believe that I paid as much as I did for a brunette specialist, just to have it all wash out. She also could not believe how horribly the salon responded to my request to fix it.The salon told me Id have to come back in and PAY for my hair to be darkened again, even though I had paid $350+, not even a month prior. I expect gradual fading, but not for my hair to have all the color wash out after only 4 washes in 3 weeks. My aunt assumes ******, the brunette specialist did not use a filler when covering the porous hair shaft of my previously blonde hair. A brunette specialist should know this. I kindly asked for a partial refund and intended to part ways thereafter. I was told that no such thing would be done and that the salon would no longer be able to accommodate future appointments for me, and that no refunds would be issued. 8/28/24 $356.53 Was promised hair coloring service provided by a Brunette Color Specialist - direct quote from website: If you are brunette and want that added dimension customized to your hair goals then this service is for youCommercial dispute False advertising of services can be found at ***********************************************

    Business Response

    Date: 10/08/2024

Alexis Richardson's claims are entirely baseless and appear to stem from frustration over my decision not to issue a refund three weeks after her appointment at Glow Hair Co. I’ve provided screenshots of our text communication in a zip drive, which clearly show that we offered multiple appointments to tone her hair at only the product cost. She declined all of the available options, and when I couldn’t accommodate her before she left town, she began demanding a refund. This ultimately led to the message she included in her complaint.

In addition to these demands, Alexis has launched personal attacks on my experience and professional reputation, despite my 14 years of expertise as a licensed cosmetologist. She has posted negative reviews on Google, flooded our social media with disparaging comments, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and initiated a chargeback with her bank—which, based on the facts, I’m confident will be denied.

There is absolutely no “false advertising” on Glow Hair Co.'s website. We are proud to be one of the most reputable salons in Southeast Idaho, with a loyal and steadily growing clientele. I hold myself and my team to the highest standards of professionalism, and we consistently strive to provide exceptional service.

I have shared all communications between Glow Hair Co. and Alexis, and it is abundantly clear that her accusations are without foundation.
