We hired *****/ Rocky Mountain Handyman to build out an unfinished bathroom. The project was to start June 5. It started June 15. The total project was to take 2 1/2 weeks. After 2 months of no shows, lies, delays, and very poor quality work, we had to find a new contractor to finish the job. We paid for materials we never received. Much of the work completed, had to be fixed.

In August of 2022 we contacted Rocky Mountain Handyman Services to do several projects around our house. The total for the projects came to over $3,000 and we agreed to pay half up front (about $1,500). We needed new lights in the basement, a new light fixture in the storage room, a new outlet in the storage room, and a dividing wall added in the basement great room. We had worked with ***** before and thought it was okay. It took almost 2 months just to finish the one and only project that was done, adding a new outlet in the storage room. He informed us that his wife was in the hospital and that's why it was hard to get ahold of him and that the projects weren't progressing in a timely manner. At that point we put a deadline to finish everything by November 23, 2022, because we had family coming into town who were staying in the basement. He agreed to this deadline, I have text messages showing this. It came and went with no progress made. ***** was hit and miss for any communication. We decided to wait until his wife was out of the hospital to get a refund for the rest of our down payment on the projects. This happened in January and he promised to repay. He kept making excuses, and then finally cut off communications in April. He won't respond to us. We paid $1539.50. In the contract he clumped the outlet and new light fixture for the storage room together for $725. I have no idea exactly how much he was charging for the outlet alone, but (because of talking to other electricians) it's probably about $600 - $625.
