      My husband was seen on 8/1/22 at Sterling Medical, LLC Urgent care in ************ **. We paid $140 that day, and were billed 8/27/22 for the remaining $132. I paid the $132 in September through our online bank HSA account. In December 2022 I received an overdue statement from Sterling. I called and they stated they'd never received my payment, and I had to provide proof of payment; so I emailed a copy of the canceled bank check to their accounts payable department. I received another bill from them in January 2023. Again, I called. They assured me there was no balance due on the account. A few days later I received a letter from TSI (a collection agency) for $132. I again called Sterling and was told "no worries, there's nothing due on your account, it got sent to TSI because your bill wasn't paid until 1/11/23 (even though I'd paid in September!). They said they'd take care of the issue with TSI. I later called TSI, they had not received proof of payment and still showed a balance. In February, I received another notice from TSI. As of 3/1/23 TSI has yet to receive payment information from Sterling. I emailed Sterling again on 3/1/23 (and spoken numerous times with them), and keep being told my account is $0, but yet I still have a pending "balance due" with TSI, which is a collection agency.
