      I had a fat transfer done and this has resulted in a large necrotic area of tissue in one of my b****** After having a mammogram and seeing a surgeon he was appalled to learn a mid level provider completed this procedure. A second surgeon in **** told me he has seen at least 5 other patients from southeast Idaho who had fat transfer procedures at this location and had the same poor outcome and complications. He is a board certified plastic surgeon and said they are not qualified to do this procedure and after viewing my medical records said they are not doing the procedure properly and this would be a risk of what they did. So now two surgeons have stated this business is negligent in what they are doing and caused harm to me. Insurance does not cover fixing what they have done. All after care instructions were followed, follow up appointments attended and I even paid for extra massages at the facility that were suppose to help with healing! It is mind blowing this business is allowed to operate this way with unqualified and poorly trained NPs and PAs doing these surgical procedures!

      Hi, at Belle Medical we take great pride in partnering with qualified medical providers who perform these procedures. We do not employ the medical providers but *********** with them and they perform the procedures in our facilities. That said, we want all patients who treat at one of our facilities to have good outcomes and great experiences. Thus, we always encourage any patient to come back in the clinic if they feel they didn't get the result they desired. We would offer this and ask this of the patient. We would like to see them in our clinic and have a different medical provider look at their case and see if we can help. Please contact our facility and let us know how we can help you.

      I came in for several procedures and have been relatively happy with the results. At my last service I was talked into fat transfer. I was not particularly concerned about my *******, but was told that there was no downside to the procedure and it was greatly discounted at the time of other procedures. I asked several times "what were the possible side effects" again I was not concerned about breast size or shape, but my left breast was smaller than right. I was told, again, there was no side effects. My gut told me that this was too good to be true, but agreed to proceed with fat transfer. After about 8 months, a lump began to form. Had it looked at by a surgeon, after a mammogram. Since it was cosmetic, insurance won't pay for it. Asked for consult at Belle Medical, I was told there was nothing they could do and I would need to go to a surgeon. Again, insurance won't pay for it and I cannot afford out of pocket costs for surgical correction. The mass is very disfiguring, becoming very uncomfortable and has ruined my self confidence. It is visible unless I wear super padded bras. I am extremely embarrassed that I had it done, but honestly feel I was not informed about possible consequences. The last surgeon I went to said poor technique is the likely cause. When I told him a PA performed the procedure, he was shocked to say the least. I went back to all the information I was given and nowhere was it written about this as a possible complication. Again, I feel I was talked into the procedure with false claims of no downsides, poor technique and unqualified provider, and I was essentially blown off with my concerns. At last mammogram and ultrasound, I have a 6cm necrotic fat (oil) cyst that has ruined my breast and self confidence. Every time I see your commercials about fat transfer and how wonderful it is,, I want to scream. I'm sure I'm not the first, nor will be the last. I will be telling everyone I know about my experience.

      Thank you for reaching out. We take extreme pride in our patient outcomes and having happy patients. I am sorry to hear about the condition this patient has developed. It is unclear from her complaint if she has returned to talk with our providers about the situation. In rare cases, cysts and/or fat necrosis can occur as a result from the procedures that are performed in our clinics. That said, the medical providers that *********** with are extremely knowledgeable and can take step to help get it resolved. There are post-operative instructions, procedures, and appointments that are critical in helping prevent and resolve any issues like this. We would love to see this patient in our clinic again to see if we can help remedy any issues that she is having.
