    The bill reminder that is sent in the email says that it is due on the 3rd of the following month. If you have a past due balance they send the same reminder. It does not state on the bill the past due amount nor the amount of days it has lapsed. It does not state the power will be disconnected. Four days before the current bill is due they put you account on disconnect queue, and the account is charged a disconnect fee in addition to the late charges. In order to get the power turned back on all fees are due until a reconnect is processed. Which means that the amount not due until the following day is paid with the previous balance and the disconnect fee. They do not help you. The customer service is confusing. I paid this morning and my children came home to a house without power. When I called, they kept saying that I still owed the current balance and the disconnect fee to get it turned back on. They would not negotiate and the supervisor laughed at me. My total balance was only $282.50 and I had paid $145.75 this morning. I asked if I could make the full remaining payment, of 161. and change in 2 weeks and she said it was out of her hands. The supervisor said she wasn't sure who would be able to help me. I had to ask 3 times to be transferred to the payment office and she laughed at me. The statement clearly said balance $282.50 and due 10/3/2023. She stated I was on disconnect since 9/29/2023.
