In Oct 2021 we hired Rogue to pour a concrete RV pad in our back yard and move our shed (off the area and back onto the pad). They stated they would be completed by Christmas that year so we put our deposit down. We didnt hear anything from them until the week after Christmas saying they would be coming the next week. Then they never showed. They finally came the end of January and poured the pad. We paid them the remainder because they told us the imperfections in the pad would settle in a couple days. These imperfections never settled. We now have cracks in the pad and chunks coming off the side. They refused to move the shed back onto the pad as agreed so we had to pay another company to do so. Then they also broke our main sprinkler line. ****, the owner of Rogue has come and seen the pad and promised he would refinish the pad, and fix the sprinklers. He did send someone out to fix our sprinklers, but they only did a patch job which left a section of our sprinklers cut off from the main line so they dont work. He has never sent anyone out to fix the pad. I have tried to contact him and ask when people would be out but was told that I was being off-putting by my pushiness. Mind you, this was after months and months of asking for some kind of communication about when things would happen. I have now not heard from him in months again and have no hope of our concrete being fixed. I have also had multiple other concrete people state that the entire thing will need to be torn up and re-done because the job was so bad. I just want my money back at this point.

After reading the complaint I will say this. As it states in the contract accepted by the customer which I can, and will provide the sprinkler lines are not 16 inches below grade, and we obviously cannot see them under the ground. We did come back and fix them even though the contract states that we would not be liable responsible for sprinkler lines not 16 inches below grade. Now Im sure visually theres issues, but as can be proven, and multiple correspondence between the customer and myself along with the contract also stating this that any existing drainage issues which would be a lack of gutters off the roof line that could cause damage we are not liable for this house did not have gutters which I have pictures from, and resulted in moisture from the roof directly being placed on the concrete immediately after we had finished, This is not the responsibility of us is the responsibility of the customer as it states in the contract there is no compromise to the structural integrity of the concrete as I have got our material provider ***** Materials and Construction to verify this . I will not be giving a refund because the contract states that these customers excepted their negligence in preventing water, add or moisture from the roofline coming in contact with the new concrete that we poured resulted in the finished product. It is not my responsibility to place gutters on a house for a person to avoid this issue. They had 5+ weeks to address this issue as I had brought it up originally before a contract was even excepted or the job is even done. They are merely trying to chase down  a refund because of the few spots that water had come in contact with the concrete and froze again I will provide the contract excepted by this customer with a date and time in which it was excepted. Also, upon arriving initially to speak with the customer after set addressed issues arose I was greeted violently and confrontationally by the husband, who cursed and threatened me. This is not acceptable in any interaction. I furthermore corresponded with the wife civilly with no issues also is our contract with reeds. We have one year from completion date to address any and all warranty issues. It has not been one year since the project was completed so therefore every claim in which is being made, is ***** void not accurate and an unfair depiction of the truth. I have copies of confirmation from a few contractors that have seen this along with the material provider that will support the structural integrity of placed concrete and in my opinion any contractor saying the entire pad will need to be ripped out and replaced is a false statement, and merely which of one to profit off somebodys negligent knowledge in the industry.

I am rejecting this response because:

This business owner has an inflated sense of his communication skills and business quality. He has constantly overpromised and under delivered leaving us with a complete lack of trust.

I would like to address his response with the following:
-His team did come back and claim to have fixed our sprinklers. This was very appreciated until we realized that half of the sprinklers in our back yard no longer work. They did a patch job and hoped we wouldnt notice. We are now hiring a landscaper to fix it all anyway.

-**** (business owner) never mentioned the gutters before they started pouring. He did however mention it afterwards and we were able to get someone out within a week to install gutters over the pad. Nevertheless the damage we are complaining about is no where near the roofline, nor is it the minor imperfections from the water.
         - Damage from complaint:
-There is a crack across the entirety of the concrete.
               - There are spots where the concrete literally sounds hollow. You can roll a rock across it and hear the difference.
-There are chunks coming off of the side from the first time an RV pulled onto the pad. This was affirmed as a flaw in the concrete by **** himself with a promise of fixing it.

This has all come with a promise to be fixed with NO further communication or any sign of it happening. At our last interaction I specifically requested that he at least keep me updated and appraised of his timeline. He agreed and then never followed through with his promises.

The overall look of this pad would be acceptable if it were 5 years old, but sadly it isn't even 1.

We have also been told by one of his own employees that the crew that poured our concrete have since lost their jobs due to the bad quality work they were doing. If he is willing to fire people over the poor quality of work, why cant he admit it to his customers?

If requested, we can get written affidavits regarding the poor communication, and quality of work from multiple sources,  experts and witnesses.

Now finally, I would like to address the false and heinous accusation made against my husband. **** loves to bring up how he perceives my husband acted. What he doesnt realize is that I was on the phone listening to their conversation. I also had my sister with my who will affirm what happened. We did this on purpose because **** would talk one way to me (professional, full of promises and agreeable) and then when he spoke to my husband he would be rude, and claim to not be able to follow through on any promise he previously made. My husband was in no way cursing, violent, or threatening. He was understandably frustrated as we were about to have a newborn in our home and we were still having to deal with the incompetencies of this business. **** not only blew off my husbands complaints, he actually began to laugh at my husband when our issues were brought up. This business owner laughed at a customer! THAT is in no way appropriate nor acceptable in any professional business. At that point my husband stormed off and went inside. I have a screen shotted text from **** on that same day specifically stating that my husband stormed off and went inside. As I stated above, this entire interaction can be affirmed by myself and my sister.

      Sincerely,

      *************************
