    Date of service was 2/29/24. I paid my co-pay at the time of the appointment which was $35.00 for an in-network provider. On July 13, 2024 I received a bill for an additional $30.00 which after a conversation with the provider's billing office and my insurance company, I paid as I was told Dr. **** ****** was not in my network. My insurance agent (my husband) referenced ******************'s list of in-network providers and verified that **** ****** was in fact an in-network provider for my insurance coverage. We have been trying to get the $30.00 refunded working through both Dr. **** ****** dba Meridian Dermatology billing ***** and my insurance provider - ******************. We were promised on 12/16/24 that we would receive a refund in 30 days. As of this date we still have not received it and can't get anyone to commit as to when that will happen.

    I will keep this brief because the person who filed this has assured me they will remove this. First, they were billed correctly, they just didn't understand what it means to be out of network. Even though I wasn't required to, out of kindness, I refunded them the money they thought they were owed. They thought it was coming as a check (because they just assumed it would be that way, not because we told them that) so when they didn't get a check, they got mad and filed this complaint. Once we got the complaint, we reached out to them and told them to look at their bank account because we refunded it to their original form of payment. They looked and confirmed to us that they received the refund on the very day we told them we would refund it several weeks ago. Hopefully they will withdraw this complaint as it was completely without merit. If they don't and you need more info, I will submit everything to prove that we did everything 100% correctly.
