I had a very persistent solar salesman named *** **** repeatedly stop by. I said no I am not interested multiple times. He managed to talk my husband into getting me to listen to his sales pitch. I was told that the system would bring me back 30% of price in tax return or I could apply that to the payments to prevent re amortization at the 18mos ***** Upon going to file taxes today the credit for me is only $1,000 this year. So in the email it states to call the loan company to apply instead - which I do. They tell me oh no.. you can just take your tax refund once you get it and apply it to your loan so the bill does not double. I was mislead and deceived into this - fully upfront and stating I would never be able to afford double the bill. Shown a graphic presentation on how this would knock my loan down Nor is the system beneficial to me once the bill is doubled. I also was told the new Idaho Power changes wouldnt have impacted me prior to signing contract, but yet those also do. Maybe acting like this works this way to people with smaller systems isnt a big deal, but an almost $100,000 one is a big deal to me! It also says no one is eligible if their solar panels are under a loan, but they send an invoice like its paid off? Not sure how legal this is. I wish I had recorded our conversation and had a copy of their promises, because they have loopholes with their contracts and ways versus what they state in person that you cannot prove on paper. However, I do have a text for the Idaho Power one.
