Complete failure to complete and professionally replace my front door, over a period of 8 MONTHS. I have now hired a ********* to correct and finish the job, and will use the balance "owed" to Treasure Valley Exteriors to pay the *********. In July 2023, I signed a $4707.89 quote for the new door, paying them a 50% deposit of $2300. Balance due was $2407.89, minus $1000 discount you said in September that would apply for your s**** **** That remaining balance of $1407.89 is going towards my hiring a ********* to fix it all. I will not pay TVE another cent.Over the next month, THREE different men came by to re-measure, look over the job. On Sept. 18th, they came to install the door, but when they got here, they said they didnt have the right tools, and left. They came back on Sept. 25th with the door, ripped off the trim and removed my door, then 10 minutes later said the door they ordered is the wrong size. ?? I told them theyre not leaving until theyve somehow fixed my old door so I can lock it when I leave town, which they do by pounding on it, wrecking it even more, but got it to lock. This did make it so drafty that I was putting a sheet over the door all winter, and Im not joking. In the meantime, they promised to re-order the right size. Jan 22, 2024, they finally get the right size door in, and after installing it, discover that they have the wrong size brick molding, so there is a huge exterior gap all around the door. Interior molding also left a big gap around the door on the inside, sticky caulking, nail head sticking up, etc. And there is no installed chrome peep hole, as specified in the contract. So they said theyd order the right brick molding, and send the peep hole guy. I'll add that they used the new handleset I had on my old door, and it doesn't lock smoothly, as I believe the strike plate is slightly off, and there is no faceplate (said they didn't have one that fits). This was 9 weeks ago. I've called twice, with no resolution.

Treasure Valley Exteriors understands that this project did not go smoothly, so we discounted the customer's purchase price by 21% ($1,000). When the original door didnt fit, we re-ordered it. We also let the customer know there was a manufacturer inventory hold on the model selected and that they should expect delays for that reason.

As it currently stands, we have the appropriate brick molding and peep hold ready for installation. The customer was made aware of this but refuses to let us finish the job. Our offer stands to finish the work ourselves and fulfill our contract.Treasure Valley Exteriors has always maintained we are willing to complete this project, and only asked for patience from the customer due to unusual circumstances.

I contracted with Treasure Valley Exteriors to replace my roof.I paid $10,899 up front on 12/5/2023. I still owe $8,638.50. They did the roof work on 12/15/2023 and 12/16/2023. The debris trailer was left on my property until 1/3/2023, which I did not agree to. The nature of the dispute is this: When removing the trailer on 1/3/2023, they were not properly equipped to tow an ****** lb. trailer (their weight estimate) on steep snowy mountain roads. They *********** the pickup truck and trailer in the Wilderness Ranch subdivision where we reside. They have abandoned the trailer on the roadside of a private community and have said they will not retrieve it until spring, and have said they don't care, let the homeowner's association tow it. This will certainly incur the displeasure of the **** If towing a heavy trailer is too risky, they should not jeopardize other's safety. In addition the trailer is a safety hazard to other residents just sitting there. I suggested that they unload the trailer in batches to make it lighter and then tow it, or hire a vehicle recovery service that specializes in snow recovery. They have thus far refused. On 1/5/2023 I wrote an email to a managing person of Treasure Valley Exteriors stating that I'm withholding final payment until this is resolved properly and may consult an attorney if necessary. Their response was: "Thank you for your response. We will be applying all late fees and interest as described in the contract you endorsed. Furthermore, we will immediately place a mechanics lien on your property which is enforceable". All I want is for them to take responsibility for their own actions.

We are happy to come out and look at the property and give the customer a recommendation and pricing for replacing the windows. We have an electronic phone system and can show the customer has not contacted us since September 2021. We had no idea they were unhappy with the settlement we gave them, and we would like to work with them directly.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. I think the business may have been attempting to respond to a different case, as my complaint wasn't regarding windows. However, I have paid the business and I saw that the trailer was removed yesterday. This resolution is satisfactory to me.

    Sincerely,
