had my siding done through these guys 4 years ago. I'm giving a 2 star only because the siding still looks good. To start I have rock all around my yard and after completion of the job and still 4 years later I am finding nails all around my home from the installers!! I'm now needing to downsize a window and need siding to match to finish the project (was never left with any extra pieces) Apon reaching out to these guys I spoke with ***** numerous times. ***** was supposed to look into the job and details of what was done and call me back. I waited 2 weeks with no reply. Apon calling back he says he does not recall this conversation, so we have it again. Again, same deal he said he would look into it and call me back. A week or two later I call him. he gives me the information of the supplier they use "abc" and the info of the product he installed on my home... *** tells me the supplier or manufacture of the product I had installed no longer makes this in that size and color, and they do not have a near match for me. they informed me to contact western siding again and see what is the next best option as they use another supplier as well who may have product close to match for me. Apon calling back and speaking again with ***** he sounds annoyed with me.. he proceeds to tell me 'you do understand there's multiple siding companies around here correct..?'' my response was ''well no I didn't know that nor do I care as I had you guys install my siding 4 years ago and figured you'd be the best ones to reach out to to help figure this out and get a close match.. he sigs heavily and tells me once again he will have to call me back...he had also told me to use the ***** parts of siding of my home to handle the repair of my window, however I had to inform him even in doing that I don't have enough length or pieces for the job needed. all I am looking for is 2 boxes maybe 3 boxes of like wise siding since I am aware I will not be getting an exact match. how upsetting this is

Yes, what she says about me forgetting to call her back is true, but here is part of the problem with her statement. First, she was never told that we would leave pieces for her at the end of her job. Secondly, she was not asking me to come bid to do her repair job, she wanted to buy siding and do it herself. After she called the second time, I gave her all the information about her siding and who to call. When she found out they did not stock the color of her existing siding, she again called me to find out what she should do. At this point I question whether it was my duty to call around for her and get this information. Again, we did a job for her 4 years ago and now she doesn't want us to do a job for her, she just wanted me to spend the time to find out where to she can buy siding. I figured, 2 calls and me doing some research for her and me giving her enough information that she can do her project, that she wants to do herself, was as much time as I wanted to spend.

Yes, she is a past customer, but she asked me to do a job, which we did, and she paid for that job. I don't believe I owe her anything like she seems to think. She seems to think we should have left siding for her. She seems to think that I owe her time and effort for her DYI project. She seems to think that after finding out her color siding is no longer available that it's up to me to find her a siding to buy.

    I don't feel that way.
