    I had a technician for this company come to the house of a former neighbor of mine that I look after. Her furnace wasn't working and I don't know much about them so I called to get it fixed. I was quoted 3000 dollars for a band aid fix and 6000 dollars to replace. My 85 year old neighbor doesn't have that kind of money so we couldn't get it fixed. Something didn't feel right to me so I called another company for a second opinion.The second company came out, looked it over and even tested the carbon monoxide output and even thing was fine- good enough for another season. The good tech said all he had to do was turn it on. He didn't charge my neighbor a dime!!!! Shame on this company for trying to take advantage of an 85 year old woman!

    Without having any details like the customers name, address or anyway to research the account this complaint/review seems a little unjust coming from someone who isnt our customer.  Frankly, were surprised and disappointed that the BBB doesnt hold some kind of accountability to the individual to provide details before allowing a non-customer to post about a company.      
    Since weve received this review and we have no way of knowing if we were the contractor or not here is our process.  Our Technician is licensed, trained and has been certified through the Heat Exchanger Experts and we would gladly provide you with his certification number and in return would like to get the Technicians certification number that stated their wasnt a crack/breech.  Our technicians use an endoscope and take photos and/or videos of any cracks, breech or fracture lines so customers can see their system along with the breech.  We dont just tell you whats going on, we show you whats going on so you can see it with your own eyes.  We take readings to see if carbon monoxide is coming into a home so we know the severity of the issue and what the next steps need to be.  Once this has been done we let the customer know we will be shutting their system off for liability reasons and explain how to turn it back on leaving the decision and the liability up to the customer.  A crack that's not producing carbon monoxide doesn't mean it's not an issue.  In many regards it can be more dangerous because of the unknown.  The known is eventually the breech will get deeper and carbon monoxide can come into a home or garage at any point in time with no notice.  You could compare a cracked heat exchanger to a bald tire.  You can drive on it, but you know at some point the tire is going to go flat, pop and will need to be replaced hopefully not causing a wreck or anyone to get hurt.  Most people aren't going to take a road trip in cold weather with this tire because they know it's not going to last forever and don't want to be stranded in the cold.  It's the same with a crack/breech in a heat exchanger going into colder weather.  Most people don't want to go into the cold winter weather with a furnace that has been compromised.  At some point they know it's going to have to be replaced and dont want to be without heat or  even worse than being cold, the crack gets deeper and starts seeping carbon monoxide into the home.  Im glad were well trained, certified by the experts and wont be held liable.  Ask yourself why most companies offer furnace tune *** before the cold weather hits?  Because they want to make sure Customers furnaces will be taken care of and their furnaces are safe to operate during the cold winter Idaho weather.   
    A little about us, weve been in business for over 21 years and have a 4.9 ****** rating.  We didn't get this by misdiagnosing systems or taking advantage of people.  We don't do high pressured sales and always provide multiple options to customers so they can make the best decisions for them and their budgets.  We ALWAYS ask our senior clients if there is anyone else they would like to include in the decision before we proceed on any sale.  Multiple other HVAC & Plumbing companies in the Treasure Valley refer Customers to us on work they don't do because of our high level of quality craftsmanship and ethics,values and integrity.  This is a huge compliment to not only the business we run, the craftsmanship we produce and the quality and ethics we demand from our staff.  You dont get this reputation in the business unless you've earned the right for a referral.  
    Lastly, I don't know who the ************ was your neighbor used to look at their system.  Did they show you their Cracked Heat Exchanger Expert certification?  Did they use an endoscope and show photos and/or videos of the inside of their system?  Did they show you their Journeyman HVAC License?  What kind of credentials did they have?  I cant and wont comment on someone elses business practices but can assure you that were 100% confident, trained, insured,licensed and make sure our team has the tools they need to do the job.  We always look into every complaint we receive to ensure we're providing the BEST service in the *************** and if we ever have a Technician that cant produce the high standards, ethics or craftsmanship that we demand then we help them exercise their rights to go work at a different HVAC shop.  But when someone doesnt include the information nor have ever done business with you theres not a lot we can look in to.
