7-19-2022 We picked up our vehicle that was repaired at 4:00 pm. We paid $4,013.56 to have them re-bearing the rear diffrential, and 4 wheel hubs re-bearing, plus upper and lower ball joints in the front. we hooked up our camper to our fixed pick-up truck. Got 70 miles out of town and the rear wheel bearing failed 2 1/2 later. We paid almost $500.00 to have our pick-up towed. I am a mechanic with 40+ years experience. I thought I could fix the rear wheel bearing myself. The wheel bearing was froze to the axle from all the heat and damaged the axel. I called Nampa Auto Repair and they came and towed my pickup back to their facility because I had found damage to the housing caused by the bearing failure. For the past 5 weeks we have heard every excuse about my pickup. I was inform because I tried to fix my pickup they want me to pay for a whole rear end. Bottom line, ruined our vacation, spent over $4,000.00 and after 5 weeks we still have no pickup.

We understand Mr. *************** position. We agree that we replaced his rear bearing, which had mechanical issues. We advised *** that our work is covered under a nationwide warranty. If he has any problems out of town, he needs to call the **** number on his invoice, and they will tow him to the nearest certified repair shop in his area. I also advised *** that if he has any problems with the number or breaks down with a problem and cannot get it resolved to contact our shop, and we will get him taken care of before he does anything else.
He signed our warranty agreement and then had a mechanical issue. He did not follow the instruction we gave written and verbally. He took his truck to his home and attempted to cut the bearing off with an acetylene gas cutting torch. This resulted in the bearing being welded to the rear end and overheating the tube, which is beyond repair. The warranty people inspected the truck and refused to cover the cost due to *** damaging the rear end. We are still attempting to get the bearing manufacturer to help with costs, but this will be difficult since *** caused damages to the truck that is now beyond repair.
If *** called us to help without his attempted repairs, this mechanical issue would be covered under our warranty. We are stuck in the middle and offered to make repairs if he pays the cost of the parts. We even offered to pay for the bearing. He has advised us that he will contact his attorney for court, so we cannot continue any discussions.
We feel this could have been taken care of if the warranty instructions had been followed.
    Sincerely, Nampa Auto Repair
