      I chose Acacia Wellness Center because they specialize in Mental Health Disorders. I struggle with ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. I take ****** and ******* as prescribed by my doctor. I only get a 30 day supply and because Vyvanse is a controlled substance, I have to call Acacia Wellness Center every 30 days to send a new prescription to my pharmacy. The majority of the time Acacia Wellness Center doesnt answer their phone. Additionally their greeting message when they do not pick up says, () If you need to refill a prescription, please call your pharmacy. When I cannot, I cannot call my pharmacy because I need a new prescription every time. Also, they will not send a new prescription if you have too many remaining. You have to wait until youre on your last 3 pills, and they claim it will take ***** hours for them to send the prescription. I am now on day 10 of them not sending my medication over. I called 3 separate times. Monday, Wednesday, and I had to beg them to call again on Friday. They are closed over the weekend, so if they did not call on Friday, I would have to wait till Monday for them to send it over. They do have an on-call provider. I have called that number, many..many times when I get put in this situation every single month. Not once has the on-call provider answered or attempted to call me back (even though on their greeting message they say they will call back in 2 hours) Finally, when I first started going to Acacia Wellness Center, I was under the ********* of ******** I guess when I turned 21 even though I was a full time student, Tricare canceled my *********. They never bothered to tell me, until I owed them thousands of dollars. So I go through absolute h*** every single month with them not filling my prescription along with me owing them thousands of dollars. They specialize in mental health disorders, and yet I am having a panic attack due to the fact that they will not send in my medication.

      Acacia Wellness Center strives to meet the needs of all of our clients in a prompt, and efficient manner while remaining compliant with regulations.  ************** was last seen in the office in December 2023.  It is not only office policy but federal regulations that require anyone receiving controlled substances to be seen every 90 days at minimum or they cannot receive that prescription.  ************* was notified that she needed to schedule an appointment.   Additionally we were notified that her insurance coverage was terminated and we spoke to her on 4/19/24 to notify her that she needed to provide updated insurance and that because of the lapse of coverage she had a bill of 429.00.  It was made clear that she could still make an appointment and I would still provide prescription despite that balance.  The after hours crisis number is clearly stated not intended for prescription refills.  

      I am truly sorry that ************** has had a difficult time without her medication.  Please note that the medication in question is the Vyvanse used to treat ADHD.  It is a controlled substance and requires a monthly prescription and requires that she be seen at least every 90 days.  ************** is aware of this and has signed the controlled substance agreement and informed consent in the office.
