    This is a very dishonest business. We are from out of state. Our truck broke down in Counsel, Id we had it towed to Gibson diesel. My husband called them the next day as we came in late. He is a mechanic and pulled the codes on what was wrong. We came by and a guy was hooking up the drive shaft. My husband spent about 15 min telling him of the codes and we left. Evidently they then pulled the codes again and let it sit. A week later when we were waiting on info on the truck my husband called again. He was told they had guys that were hunting and it would be a couple weeks. We found another mechanic who could help us out. We had to rent a car and rv space while we waited. When we called to see if they could get it in any quicker they said no. We asked for a price of what the cost was as of now. The girl said she would have to call us back. She never did. My husband called the next day and was told $150. We arranged to have it towed to the new mechanic. When we went to pay the bill it was $460. The guy was very nasty. Said my husband waisted their time by calling and checking on things. They said between phone calls and my husband talking to them it was 3 hours. That the girl at the desk didn't have the correct information on the bill. Treated really bad and feel they charged us because we pulled the truck.

    Kim, when your husband first called he was told at least 3 weeks before we could get your pickup in. You both decided that you still wanted to have it towed down and dropped off. Once arrived you both were told again that it would be at least 3 weeks before we could look at it as we were full with people who have already had appointments and current pickups in the shop for repairs. After your pickup was here for 2 days your husband started to call twice a day plus coming to see if we had figured anything out. Understanding how frustrated he was and that he is wanting to get home, one of the techs pulled your pickup in on his lunch break and then stayed late trying to see if it was something easy and could get you back on the road faster. The 3 hours you were charged was for putting your driveline back in, that was removed when you had it towed and for the diagnostic time he spend on your pickup. We all understand you both being frustrated on being stuck away from home, but that does not mean your entitled to cut in front of people who have been waiting the 3 or 4 weeks that we are usually out. We hope you get back on the road soon and have a safe trip home.

    These guys do pretty good with diesel engines, especially turbos. I currently am struggling to get warranty work done on a transmission they did the upgrade on with 2yr warranty. It's had issues with hard dismay only in one set of gears, from day one, and they keep pointing at the computer. The learning after 4 tries should have perfect shifting. I've had performance work and transmission in a prior dmax, this one just isn't right. I just want it to work as it should. Hope they make it right before the warranty runs out. Really don't want warranty to be an excuse not to make it right.
