    just now New I went to Jims auto upholstery to pick up a caravan through Uhaul. I had my 5 and 7 year old kids with me. I had just picked them up from school. I was waiting for some money to transfer so I could cover the deposit. My 5 old year was hungry and bored. She started fussing. A 50+ year old man walks through the front of the building and heads into the auto shop. On his way past he tells my 5 year old to stop crying because crybabies have to wait in the car. My daughter immediately burst into tears. My jaws dropped and I stood still in shock. Then I picked up my daughter to comfort her. Meanwhile the 2 women at the front desk just stare at me not saying a word. I tell my kids that the man was being mean and shouldnt have said those things. I tell the women that what he said was completely unacceptable. One of them says he was just teasing. I told her making fun of a 5 year old isnt teasing. Then I took my kids to the car. After I settled my children I realized I had left my ID inside. I headed back into the building and crossed paths with the man in the parking lot. I told him what he said was unacceptable. He told me he was just trying to help. I told him making fun of people never helps anything. I followed him into the building, asked for my ID, told them to cancel my rental because I dont want anything to do with them. I dont do business with *******. No one apologized for their behavior at any point. I left. I was so made I was shaking and on the verge of tears. I had to have a conversation with my children about treating everyone with respect and kindness no matter who they are. I told them that some adults think they can talk to children however they want. But this is not true. They need to be kind and respectful to children as well as adults. I am appalled at the treatment my family received from Jims Auto Upholstery.

    If you have a very straight forward project and the owner likes you, you're probaly OK. In my case, he had an attitude right off the bat. He sauntered around as if it was a pain to show me their process. My project is a bit out of the ************'s a **** vehicle. After a hurried 1/2 hour, I paid a $500 deposit. After sleeping on it and doing more research, I returned the next morning at 9 to cancel my order and get my $500 back. The Receptionist asked me why? I said "I came to the wrong place". That was all the explanation she needed. Her reply was, "Yes, the owner is sometimes hard to deal with". Then out in the shop, the owner noticed me loading up my seat, came over to ask me why, so I gave him the same answer. He then wanted to know, "What kind of an a**** are you?" He then proceeded to fake-hand me the seat, but purposly dropped it before I had a chance to grab it. Enter at your own risk.
