I saw Dr. ********************** 2/1/2022 and 3/1/2022. The office billed my ******************** and the visit on 2/1/2022 was processed 3/21/2022 and 3/1/2022 was processed 3/14/2022. I called in April to pay my bill even though I had not recieved one because I knew I owed the balance. They told me that I in fact did not owe is and that my balance was at zero. I told them I know that I owe and I would like to pay it instead of getting a bill later as I had already waited a month and recieved nothing from their office. She assured me that I did not owe, so I asked when I would be recieveing a bill and she told me that I will not be getting one that insurance had covered in full. I told her i had a EOB from insurance that stated otherwise and she again just said I did not owe. Now fast forward to today 4/17/2023. A full year and a couple weeks later. I recieve a bill for $200. I call to contest it as I had already tried to pay this and they refused. All ******** could tell me is that it took a year for the billing to go through and that I owe it. Nothing she could do. I explained to her multiple times that insurance processed this a year ago and this is the first bill I hasd recieved. Statement date is 4/8/2023. She just told me too bad and I needed to pay it. I brought up that I never recieved a summary of services either and with the new ***** law for no surprise medical billiing they are not following it. She said she will have ******* from billing call me. And that was that. I have to pay a bill that I was told a year ago I did not owe, and no offer of compinsation not even a 20% discount for their late billing mistake.
