Courtesy Ford of ********* couldn't have been any more dishonest with me. While on the exterior they assume a nice responsible ******************** reveals deception and unethical sales techniques. I purchased a used 2019 **** F250 in September 2022 from Courtesy Ford using *************************** as ***********. The AutoCheck that was presented to me (left side of picture) at time of purchase showed a clean history with zero accidents and damage. Fast forward to a year later when I start shopping the truck around as I am ready to sell the vehicle. I learn that the truck was in an accident on December 2020. This is two full years before I owned the truck! Courtesy Ford should be removed from ****'s dealer list. It is a shame that this large amount of damage was hidden in tandem with selling a 2019 truck at near its original MSRP. Paying ****** dollars for a car that has been in a moderate accident can significantly reduce its value. BUYER BEWARE: if you plan to do business with this auto group make sure to do your due diligence and run separate vehicle history reports. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, Autocheck by Experian, and the ************************ regarding this. A negative review is a strong multiplier.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/07/2023

Courtesy Ford has no control over the timing or information reported to AutoCheck.   The AutoCheck showed No Accident Reported at the acquisition time for Courtesy Ford.  Courtesy Ford will not offer any type of refund because this reporting issue is in no way the fault of Courtesy Ford.

I am rejecting this response because:

This situation is **** with red flags. The salesperson is unjustly blaming me for their mistake, and the inspectors failed to identify the accident, which is highly suspicious.

It's unacceptable that Courtesy Ford ********* expects me to take full responsibility for any unforeseen calamities despite providing me with an inaccurate report. Had Courtesy Ford informed me about the accident from the outset, I could have either opted for a different truck or negotiated a lower price. And for none of the **** dealership's pre-owned vehicle mechanics to have noticed that the truck had been in an accident is simply unacceptable.

It's outrageous that Ive been subjected to a $15,000 depreciation in just 13 months and feel misled. Rather than blaming me or the reporting system Courtesy Ford provided, the team should have been focused on finding solutions.

Thankfully the ****** review is a great way to raise awareness about this situation and to ensure that others don't fall victim to these underhanded dodgy tactics.

    Sincerely,

    ***************************

I had my truck brought in on 12/06/22 due to mechanical problems with the new engine **** had installed. They immediately said that it was my error and that I needed service receipts to prove I had the engine serviced and maintained. They didn't even inspect the engine first before pointing the finger back at me. After handing in the service receipts and proof of services they said they would get it started. Now everytime I call and check in on a completion date I get told a different day and an excuse why it keeps getting pushed out farther and farther. It's been almost 4 months since I originally took the truck in and they were supposed to have it finished earlier this month and yet again they put me on the backburner and told me it won't be done for another couple weeks. I told them I start a job in ******* on 3/17/23 and I need the truck in order to make the travel and start and they gave me their word it would be done on 3/15/23. I called in to check on that day and they said it wasn't done and it would be done 3/19/23 at the latest. I told them my job is on the line, I called the employer and explained I needed a couple more days to get my truck back to make the move out there. I've now lost that job and opportunity due to their negligence. I've been extremely patient, but now it's affecting my life and I feel like I've been mistreated and abused. I get little to no return information from them and I always have to call them or else they don't give me any updates whatsoever. I lost my chance at a really good job that could have gave me a better life for me and my family, but they failed to hold their end of the deal and it's costing me my job and my credit.
