      Hello,I received the Topo Designs tenkara rod package for a Christmas gift from my wife, which she purchased directly from Tenkara Rod Co. Please note that it did not come with a light hip pack as advertised, but as she would not have known, I decided it was not a big deal. As we were unpacking the ***, Section 1 slide out of Section 2. Now I can't seem to thread Section 1 back through as the ******* keeps bunching up.I reached out to Tenkara Rod Co. on 26-Dec-2024 and received a reply on 01-Jan-2025 from **** asking if I resolved the issue. I responded that same day noting that the issue was not resolved. I have subsequently responded on 11-Jan, 20-Jan, and 23-Jan with no response.I have also gone so far as to purchase a Tip Section replacement for the Sierra *** as I read that that was the base for the design of the special ***. Unfortunately, that tip section does not work, and I still cannot use my ***.I would like a full replacement of the Topo Designs Package including the hip pack, this way I can have the *** and would no longer need to interact with Tenkara Rod Co.

      I have replaced the customers rod at no charge.  I am unable to lookup an order from the customers wife because I do not know the wifes name. Therefore I cannot look up to see if the customer also had a hip pack on their order. The customer never mentioned anything about a missing hip pack in the emails he sent so how were we supposed to know it was missing? I need the order number or name it was ordered under to see if there is a hip pack on the order. If the customer wanted the hip pack I dont know why they did not mention that in our emails.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have received the new rod on 2/3/25. The owner also reached out via email asking about the hip  pack. I gave them the original order number that my wife make which highlights that a full kit was ordered. 

      On the website it states the full kit comes with, "Topo x Tenkara Sierra **** light hip pack, and Leader Wallet complete with tippet, line, three dry flies and a fly tin".

      The hip pack was never a separate order or item in the purchase. This was not mentioned in the original email to Tenkara Rod as the rod was my main concern. There has been no attempt to discuss the hip pack.

      The hip pack was sent to the customer. There is nowhere on our website that states the full kit come with a hip pack. The customer misunderstood something somewhere. The full kit comes with Rod, tube, line, flies, tippet and line holder. I sent the customer a hip pack anyway because he was obviously very upset about not getting it. The customer has been politely and completely taken care of.

      I placed an order with Tenkara Rod company for a Christmas present on December 6th 2024. (order :*****. I have not received any information regarding the status of the order or shipping. The phone number on the website does not work and the email has no *********** credit card was charged and I have no way of knowing if the order will be shipped in time for Christmas.They do not respond to emails and there is no phone number to reach them by.

      We have cancelled and fully refunded this order as soon as we saw the complaint. We did not want to receive a chargeback so we refunded him and he can order again if they would like to. We got a lot of orders over black friday weekend and lots of emails as well. We were a little slow to respond to emails about 3 days rather than one and slow to fulfill thousands of orders, about 1 week rather than one day. This customer just got impatient and upset and decided to contact BBB.

      I have happily owned a fishing from Tenkara Rod Co since 2021. However, after multiple attempts at replacing a rod section beginning in which the company has sent me the wrong piece (which I paid for), they simply stopped communicating or attempting to solve the problem. I have made five attempts to contact them via email for a solutions over a span of a month (7/12, 7/15, 7/21, 7/31 and 8/6) and have not gotten a single response. Attempts to call their customer service line just prompt me to leave a voicemail which also never gets returned.

      Have not received my order. I have called and am automatically switched to voice mail. I left a message but no one calls back. Their website directs you to send an email and I've sent two. No one responds.

      On 5-15 I made an online purchase in the amount of $53.25 from Tenkara Rod Co. My bank has fulfilled this payment. I have not received the merchandise. I have contacted the company to relay this information. They claim the shipment was delivered to the address provided, I explained it was not. I have asked that they help me start a refund of the purchase price, they have not responded to my emails in a week. I wish to receive the merchandise or have the purchase price refunded.

      My elderly Dad purchased a fly rod the day after Thanksgiving as a present for my little brother. (11/24) The rod arrived without incident and he wrapped it up for Christmas.On Christmas day, my brother opened it, but the various pieces of the telescoping rod were deeply stuck. It wouldn't extend at all. I told him, no big deal, just exchange it--which he did--paying for shipping back to Tenkara Rod Co, as instructed by their website www.tenkararodco.com/pages/customer-service "Here at **********************. we stand behind our products. We want YOU, our customers to be fully satisfied with your purchase and that is why we offer a lifetime warranty on our Rods. If a rod breaks or is defective in some way please send us an email to: ******************************** or call ************ and we will get you taken care of. If a rod needs to be sent back for repairs we will cover the cost of the repair and/or replacement. We will also cover the cost of shipping the rod back to you. Shipping costs to us will need to be taken care of by the customer.Like stated above in our Warranty, if you are not happy with your rod you are welcome to send it back for a refund or exchange. We will offer a full refund on rods for up to 30 days from the date of purchase. After that our lifetime warranty stands for any defects or necessary repairs."He sent it to them on 12/29 via **** It was more than 30 days after purchase, but it was a Christmas present! And even if it was beyond that, the site claims a lifetime warrantee for any defects ....However, Tenkara Rod Co, claims they fixed the rod and will send it back when a fee of $80 (the cost of the rod was $120) is paid. Because the rod was defective right out of the packaging, we feel that the $80 is outrageous and would prefer to just be refunded our cost and go our separate ways.Since then. in texts "*****" has told my mother that he didn't believe the rod was defective on arrival and no one returns our calls. Please help!

      I ordered a Tenkara fishing rod, a Tenkara Rod Co. Fully Loaded Hip Pack, and a hat. The rod and hat were delivered but no Hip Pack. I have called 3 times (all calls went to voice mail) and have written three times and have gotten no response. Can you help?
