      Helped our son purchase a 2006 Pontiac G6 from Hampton Heritage Auto on Aug. 24, 2022 for the amount of $6,100. The car was advertised as in good condition. Hamptons also claimed a third party mechanic was paid to do a thorough check of the vehicle. The car was taken to be aligned at Point S in *********, ** on Aug. 31, 2022. An alignment was not possible due to large amounts of rust on the front tire rods which caused them to seize-up and were immovable. We paid $1,054.56 to have them replaced on Sept. 3, 2022. Once home, we had our own look under the car and were shocked to find the ENTIRE underneath had severe rust and rot; the frame, brake components, shocks, hoses, sensors, engine block, etc. Everywhere on the underside consisted of portions of metal that easily flaked off (this condition was not disclosed at the time of sale). After seeking the expertise of auto professionals (Point S and ***** Collision Body Shop) on Sept. 5, 2022 it was clear this was NOT the sound car it was advertised to be and found it be an unsafe car for our teenage son to drive. We returned the car the following day on Sept. 6, 2022. The dealership refused a return. They claimed to having no knowledge of the rust and rot under the car but then went on to say that they bought it in SLC and all cars from there are rusted underneath. I stated the mechanic they paid to look the car over should have informed them of the rust and in turn they should have informed us. They offered to have a rust neutralizer sprayed that was $218.95 in total. We did NOT agree to this but they did it regardless. We countered for a reimbursement of the tire rod replacements. They refused. Ultimately, we left the dealership without a resolution to buying a car that was priced and advertised as good condition when it was actually in fair condition at the time of purchase (kbb.com puts fair value on this car at $3,456).

      Bought used car from Hampton Auto said car was ok. 2 weeks later found out transmission was completely shot warranty only covers 800 dollars out of ****. They willingly sold a bad car and didn't say anything would like reimbursement or payment for the full transmission.
