Location: Schweitzer mountain in *********, *****, operated by Alterra Mountain Company Date: 1/16/24 Summary: A document containing a more detailed summary is included in the attachments because of the character limits on this form. On 1/16/2024 my son broke his skis while skiing. I had purchased the breakage insurance for all of our skis. A copy of my receipt and a copy of the agreement including insurance selection is also attached. The manager, *******, used intimidation, scared my twelve year old son who was in tears, falsely stated that the broken skis were not covered by insurance, threatened to charge our credit card on file without my authorization, and then banned us from Schweitzer for life when I told him I would report him to the police for credit card fraud if he charged my card without authorization.I reached out to ******************* by email, who is the director over the rental shop to complain about this behavior from *******. **** either did not believe me or simply was remaining loyal to her employee because she fully backed ******* and upheld his decision to ban me. She offered no explanation of her decision and did not call me to discuss over the phone as I requested. I was polite in my exchange with her nonetheless and a copy of that email exchange is also attached.I am seeking the following:(1) a full refund of the money I spent at Schweitzer (2) proof that they are properly licensed to sell insurance on rental gear and if not, sanctioned accordingly and forced to stop offering this fraudulent service (3) confirmation that I am no longer banned despite the fact I will probably never spend a dime here again (4) an apology in writing from the company and/or the director who basically ignored my complaint

I was provided with a 50% discounted stay at Schweitzer mountain in one of their lodges. After paying for the stay, the lodging operations manager confirmed that everything had been paid prior to my arrival, his assistant also confirmed that everything had been paid and nothing else was owed, then upon checking out the individual who checked us out of the hotel confirmed that everything was paid and nothing owed. A couple of days later $800 was taken out of my account with no receipt or anything provided. I tried multiple times to get ***** of the manager or his assistant with no luck. I was able to contact one of the workers who then responded that I owe an additional $800+. They have no knowledge of $300+ that was paid as an insurance and I have a receipt from them that this was paid but they are not acknowledging it. I would like the $800 refunded as there is no basis for this transaction.
