Lewis Roofing was given a check $2,000 from my escrow as a prearranged payment to repair a leak in my roof as evidenced by a stain on my ceiling in my living room. After numerous phone calls and waiting close to 3 months in the summer of 2023, they showed up. They went on my roof, did no replace any tile and indicated they thought the stain on my roof was an old stain. So that covered the stain and painted, and promised that if the stain returned after next winter season, they would return and repair. I have made numerous calls and finally his crew showed up. **** indicated he would return that the repair would take him a couple of hours. I have tried to get them to return, but out of frustration I have finally called another roofer. My neighbors have had to do the same and they are all using rainguard instead. I have repeatedly asked for a statement indicating work accomplished to account for $2,000 payment and have never gotten same,

First and foremost, this claim is absolutely false. It has no basis and she has her facts wrong. This job was done 7-25-2022. Our job scope was to check the roof and clean gutters, and replace broken and misplaced tile. We replaced broken ridge caps and some field tile. We were to inspect for mold on two spots, one of them being an inside closet and the other one being a minor water stain over the living room. All of our work was performed in a timely and professional manner. Customer was completely satisfied at the time the job was complete and we were paid for services. At the time of the repair, this roof was 45 years old. A major portion of this roof had been replaced by others. No portion of a roof this age is warrantable. There were no warranties given or implied. However, we completely disassembled the Valley assembly above entryway and cleaned it out before putting it back together so the valley would actually drain. Numerous field and ridge tiles were replaced .Two  interior spots were stain guarded with kilz primer and painted. We went above and beyond our scope of work on this job. This work was performed over two years ago. This roof repair was not done in 2023, we have not received one phone call or mention of current problems in those two years. She contacted us approximately 30 days ago. She was pushy, demanding and called daily for one week. I had to return her call and ask her to quit being nasty with my two secretaries. I informed her I would be out as soon as I could and I showed up less than five business days after her call, she was not at home and she did not answer her phone. My nephew tried again two hours later and visited with her. During that visit there were broken tile visible. There were no broken tile when our job was complete two years ago. it is possible that there is an active leak at this point, however those leaks were not evident by damaged drywall or bubbling paint, only an old stain bleeding through.  These tiles are not manufactured anymore, but there are still old inventory that can be found. She was told as soon as we could find the tile we would return. That was not acceptable to ****** and she decided to go another route to include a bad review and report to the BBB. There will be no refund, this matter has been turned over to my attorney. Thank you, ****** P Lewis .
