I purchased a used car from top gear motors in ******* in early July, the car salesman assured me the car was in good condition he never disclosed to me any problems with the vehicle, that in fact was not true, he marked up the price of the vehicle and did not factor in all of the damage the vehicle had, the car stopped working completely, and upon inspection a slew of problems was discovered including the use of glue to correct issues with the car, many quick fixes were done to the car so that it could be sold the salesman didnt tell me anything about any of the issues with the car, I reached out to the dealership in hopes they would provide me with some sort of help Top gear motors in ******* IL provided me with no help and said it wasnt their fault, Ive had the car less than 90 days. There was extreme rust damage to the frame which was never disclosed, they purposely sold me a car for 6600 dollars and it was not worth even close to that amount! If I had have known about all the damage that the car had I would have never purchased it. Top gear motors really took advantage of me in a time of need.

    Dear Ms. *********** style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">
Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding the purchase of your 2007 ****** RAV4 (VIN: *****************) from Top Gear Motors. We value all feedback and appreciate the chance to clarify our position.
When you purchased the vehicle on June 25, 2024, it had ******* miles and was sold as-is, with no warranty, which was clearly communicated. The original price of $5,945 was discounted to $5,500 for you. The additional charges, which include Illinois state taxes, title fees, and registration fees, were outlined and are standard legal fees.
We understand that purchasing a used vehicle can be challenging, especially one with higher mileage like yours. We aim to be transparent and always encourage customers to ask questions and seek independent inspections.
After your purchase, when you contacted us regarding the vehicle's issues, we offered assistance to help with repairs at a discounted rate. Unfortunately, after an inappropriate interaction with one of our team members, we felt it necessary to retract that offer.
We are prepared to provide all relevant documentation, including the signed as-is agreement, to support our position.

    Sincerely,?Grant Top Gear Motors

I am rejecting this response because: there was never any inappropriate behavior on my part with any one, ***** also never offered any services at a discounted price. ***** knowingly sold me a car with issues and never disclosed any of the issues and when I reached out to top gear motors he was not very helpful at all he told me to take the car to his mechanic but never mentioned a discounted price. Furthermore I was not trustful of his mechanic knowing the experience Ive had with the dealership. I understand I purchased a car as is, it would have been nice to know that there was issues with the car. Had I known the extent of the damages I would have never purchased the vehicle.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *******
