    Work started 2/19/24. We were enclosing our loft and adding doors to the office and master bath along with a deck tear down and rebuild. The deck has major safety issues. Lake county builders had multiple different groups including an 18 year old kid who did not know what he was doing and >75% of his work needed to be redone. Structural integrity issues, spindle safety issues. My 2 year old pulled on a spindle and it came off- second story deck. Have asked to have these issues addressed and have had >5 no call no shows since the project started. We were informed that the actual workers who built our deck had never built a deck before- without our knowledge and had ****** up decks after ours. At this point the craftsmanship is below subpar but the safety issues are our main concern. I have taken countless pictures and uploaded them to a shared album. I stepped on a ***** staple sticking out of one of the boards and had to inquire with my healthcare provider about getting a tetanus shot- not acknowledged by the company. Ive walked and pointed out issues with the deck to have them have an inexperienced deck worker come and fix 5% and leave for the day. Upon further investigation, the contractor said they were done while I have spindles hanging off the posts. They said they could fix a leak but never checked the leak in our bathroom. Said it was fixed and we used the shower a few weeks later (secondary shower) and it leaked all over the family room. The contractor said they never ran the water and assumed during the week the hole was in the ceiling that we ran the water and never complained.
