i paid this business $87.69. they are double taxing. for example the menu said it was $7.99 for a cheese dip, but the receipt says $8.84 and the waitress said that was with tax and then they also added additional tax to the total. they also added their own 15% tip. the waitress tried to bargain with us. make a “deal” this happened on January 6th, 2023 @ 7:28.

We went there on Jan. 6, 2023 and we sat down, got our food.  When we got our ticket we got queso fondido and inside on the menu it says it is $7.99 but we got charged for a cheese quesadilla and we were charged tax - $8.84 and $4.43 additional tax charge.  It was $9.99 on the menu and we were charged $11.43 for a margarita.  The subtotal was $82.49 and the tip was based on $71.73 total, the tax was $4.37 and the liquor tax was 83 cents.  So the total due $87.69 with card or cash $84.32.  I wanted a copy of my paper receipt and the waitress said no because I took a phone picture of it.  There were six adults at the table and it was done to them too.  They are double taxing us.

They are trying to make people pay a 20% tip mandatory. The bill I received after my meal already had their tip on it, when I went to pay my bill they threatened to call the cops if I didn’t pay the tip. After telling them to go ahead and call the cops I gave them the price of the meal minus tip and they told me to never come back. Is this illegal? I’m pretty sure it is. What if the tip they put on the receipt was 200% does that mean I have to pay it or never be allowed to go to another restaurant again. It really upset my family. Do I have any kind of recourse besides a bad review? Thank you for your help.

Regarding ********* and his complaint it was not %20 tip mandatory it was a %15 because people like Mr. ****** don't like leaving tip. It is not illegal. We made sure with our lawyer before we decided to put this. For ********* we will not give him his money back and we never want him to come back he made our waitress cry and said racist things to her. He has also been commenting on our facebook page as well he says he never said anything but we have our security cameras that say different. He also said rude things to an 11 year old who was defending the waitress. Can you imagine a grown adult yelling at an 11 year old for not wanting to pay. Thank you and have a good day!
