    I received a quote for a fence from Illinois fence and deck. I signed the contract on May 8th and paid a down payment of a little over $4,200 which was 50% of the total cost. On Monday, June 2nd, the owner, ***** ********* emailed letting me know that the permits were ready and they could install Friday, June 6th at 8am. He informed me at this time that he needed an additional $1730 to be paid in advance, prior to installation. For the days leading up to the installation I was contacted repeatedly asking for the additional payment which made. They then asked that I make the payment via CashApp or Apple Cash and refunded the $1730 paid via Quickbooks because the fees were too high. Friday, June 6th ***** contacted me at 6am asking about an updated payment. We agreed to pay via his wifes businesses ****** link. He said the materials cost more than planned and he was losing money on the job and that eliminating the fees from ********** help. His crew was set to arrive at 8am. By 840am they had not arrived and I contacted ***** and his sales **** I sss told they were going to text with an ETA. At 1040 they had not arrived. By 3pm I could not get responses and no one arrived. ***** said he would come personally at 8am Saturday, he has not returned calls, messages or shown up. The website is no longer active, they are no longer on Thumbtack, and no longer have a ******** page. To date I do not have a new fence installed and there has been no effort to repair the issue of services not rendered.

    Signed contract with Illinois Fence and Deck on March 3, 2025 to install front porch deck. Paid required down payment iao $5,125.50 via credit card on same day.On Mon 3/3/2025 Contact **** ******* *************) sent text to me indicating he would begin obtaining Permit from Village of ******* to begin work.On Tues 3/11/25 **** ******* requested PLOT SURVEY - I provided immediately via text photo Had not heard from **** for a few weeks so I searched Village of Lombard records online that week and continued this process for about a month and never seen proof Permit was ordered. Sent text to **** ******* on Monday, May 12th for an update on the status of my deck installation. Received response: Hey ****, I'll reach out to the Office. And get back to you. Sent another text on Thursday, May 15th and again on Friday, May 16th - never received a response. Called and left several messages after but no one returns call and phone goes directly to voicemail. Attempted to call the office @ ************ on Friday, May 23rd and received a message indicating the company was under new ownership as of 5/1/2025 and to send any questions or issues to: ******************************* Attempted several times using several different variations of the email address and each email would not send successfully. I have called the ****************** and sent a request to provide any information regarding Police Reports made on this company and am still awaiting a response. I have been contacted by 2 other consumers who have ALSO have also submitted their deposits and have not received a response from their contacts. ******* ********* and **** Highland are both victims of this business.     March 6, 2025. $8074.50. Tear down old deck and install new deck. Received a text saying the business was going under new management. Have not received any information on new ownership and they are not responding to my calls or texts. Owners cell phone has been disconnected.
