      This company is the worst. We had setup a residential appointment with them about a month out. I had even scheduled the pickup for a day they would be in my small town. The *** BEFORE the pickup they sent me an email CONFIRMING the pickup and time. Then called me to CANCEL claiming they couldn't come down my road. They admitted in the voicemail that they should have looked at this before scheduling and didn't. So I offered to bring my materials to a gas station about a mile from my house on a main road. NOPE. So they offered to have me meet them about 5 miles away where their truck would be at a business. Then when I agreed to this inconvenience and extra work, I shared that I needed to bring the materials in several loads since I don't have a truck and all of it wouldn't fit in my car, they said they couldn't wait. Uh, they would have had to wait at my house for me to bring them out to the truck but can't wait at another site because they would have to get to the next appointment? I thought I WAS the next appointment?! What happened to my appointment time frame? So I asked them if they could bring a smaller truck. NOPE. I asked them how long they could wait for me to bring my materials to that location. No amount of time. They couldn't wait at all. I would have been doing extra work, using extra gas and time from my schedule and they could not accommodate by simply WAITING at a site they would already be at. ***************** Uh non-existent. They made no attempt to right this wrong or fix the situation. Never Never use this company. And I have both the emails and voicemail to corroborate my story. Terrible company.

      Horrible service. Would give -5 stars if we could. Our shredding pickup was supposed to be picked up over a month ago and they never came and never told us why or rescheduled it. I have been trying for the last 3 weeks to have someone come pick up our shredding. Each time I call I am told that they will call the local branch and have someone come right out.... but shocker they can never actually get anyone to answer at the local branch. Our shredding is extremely sensitive information, and our lock box is now overflowing, and it has put that information at risk since we cannot put it in a secure location anymore. We have made this known to the company and they continue to promise pickups without following through. On 08/11/2023 we had a pickup scheduled and they didn't show up to that one either... but then I received a "Proof of Service" email showing that they had come and emptied our shredding. The service time was at 2:31pm.... The shred box sits right next to me at my desk, and I was here until 5:00pm and no one entered our office, and our shredding is still full. I am given the same non-comital answers each time I call which are "We are so sorry.... We will contact our manager... someone will call you back today...." no one has ever called me back in the 5 times I have been promised a call back. Managers are "always" in meetings whenever I call. No one has been able to give me an actual answer and follow through on that. The worst service we have ever received. When you are paying for a service, you should be able to know that it will be fulfilled. Do not use them.

      I work as an assistant to a very busy and reputable Central ******* attorney. This company's service is extremely unreliable and unprofessional. Shred-It billed the office for times our office was never serviced. Countless calls, by both myself and my supervisor, have been made multiple times over multiple weeks and absolutely NOTHING has been resolved. We cancelled our service with them on 6.13.23 and they flat out refuse to acknowledge the cancelling of the service and that we no longer want to deal with them. The amount of ***************** calls spent in dealing with this company is a huge waste of time that could be dedicated to assisting our own clients. After receiving yet another statement for services never rendered, today I decided to look them up on the BBB. Why was I not surprised? I will no longer be taking calls from this company - this attorney's office doesn't have time to deal with this nonsense. We've found already obtained the services of a different company that is professional, efficient, and courteous. The only company response we want to this review is to stop harassing this office.

      This company shams anyone trying to get a refund from them. This company owes me $1,493.95 due to an overpayment. Have been fighting this since March 21st, 2023. Have called 3 times to find out where my refund is, the corporate response; "It take 2 billing cycles to get refund". Everytime we call they say your refund is going to be expedited, which it is not. The latest call, the advisor told me the same corporate response, it will take 2 billing cycles. So the advisor told me that the supervisor will call me back, he was on another call. I told her that I will just wait until he is done. My next move is to call the Attorney General of **, and reach out to my attorney. NO SENSE of Urgency.

      If there was less than 1 star we would give it. Our experience: **************** & the retention office do nothing to fix billing issues or pick up issues. Shred-it hides behind their legal fine print instead of doing the right thing. They force you to hold up your end of the contract when they don't hold up theirs. If you have a credit on file, they don't automatically apply it, they hold it until you request it be 'applied' & even then, months pass without getting your approved credit. They have been nothing but a horrible company to deal with even after multiple calls, ************** put in. I'm sad that this company seems to want money while not doing the right thing & fixing the issues we've asked over & over again to be resolved. It seems easier for Shred-it to have customers cancel & hide behind their fine print, than to resolve issues in a TIMELY matter.***********************

      Highly disappointed with the service. We requested to pick up extra boxes for the next service. They confirmed that they will pick up the boxes. But when the truck driver came, he did not pick up those boxes. When I called customer relations they said "sorry" we did not pick up. that's it. They charged full money on the same day, we have been a customer with them for the last 20 years. They even do not have courtesy to rectify their error. All I asked for was ok I agree you did not pick up, then now come and pick it up and rectify your mistake. I called them 10 times and the only response I got was "sorry" , new reference number for the complain and "We have escalated this with our customer relation team (who never replied to me)". I would give **** star to this company.

      **************** and billing service is lacking greatly with this company. We had an invoice we paid by check, they also charged our credit card. I called in June and was told we would receive a credit on the credit card, now one month later in July, they have not given us the credit. A call to the company says our request is still pending. We also had issues with the quality of service from the driver of the truck and the communication with the company setting up the service.

      Be sure to get a complete quote before using this company. The make the contract hard to understand and then hide a the hidden surcharges in the contract so you don't get a complete price up front. I will not use them again as I believe they are crooked to the core. Beware

      I have never left a review in my life, but this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Please do yourselves a favor and hire a different shredding company. The complaints are too numerous to list. I am only writing this to prevent other companies from making the same mistake I made in hiring Shred-It.

      Multiple issues with billing. Too many "unfortunately we couldn't service your containers" but billed. Pick up tickets show they were in the building for a minute or two. Compared pick-up tickets from the last service date. Found instances where they left one building at 9:35 a.m. and got to the next building (10 minutes away) at 9:35 a.m. I've been trying to cancel the contract for two and a half weeks. Pick-*** are still being scheduled online. **************** rep (that poor girl) indicates she's forwarded my concerns to manager and director. Still no call.Surcharge on top of surcharge puts the service cost of a single tote through the roof. Will never use this company again.BBB needs a "half star" rating option. I feel giving one whole star is too generous.
