  Contracted Stoneview Construction to build 6-foot vinyl privacy fence. Dates 9/6/22-9/8/22. Materials purchased @Menards, project discussed with Manager *******************. Given an estimate but no contract to sign. Day 1 removed old fence & put-up gate. 2 days=2 workers, after complaint re slow work, received 2 more workers day 3. Worked approx 6 hrs daily, built 7 of 70 panels. Gate latch *****, open gate hits sidewalk, must step in grass to get in gate. Right front panel wasnt fastened, fell when gate opened. They didnt map out fence trajectory at project beginning, created bump out as fence would end @ inside corner of shed, correction also headed to shed would have required additional bump to fix. Built panels not secured, wind 2 blew over on 9/11/22. Workers never looked through inventory prior to beginning project. Discussed different fencing for yard sides & back & 2 different posts for each fencing. Used 2 back fence posts in front as corner posts, leaving back short. 8ft posts less than 1ft down, not stable, easily pulled out. Panel tops not aligned. Called Manager several times with concerns & given excuses for poor work & blamed the panels we purchased as difficult to put together, the panels came pre-assembled. Some panels had a few screws all stripped, some had none. Paid $4,000 total deposit. On 9/9/22 let workers go after removing their tools from our garage. Called Manager received excuses. Final invoice noted were responsible for marking post placement or outline of property. *Was never discussed prior to start of work *Were not construction workers & dont know how to mark for fence posting, thus the need to hire a contractor.*They had pulled out the previous fence postings & could see where the lines for that fence was & where the posts had been.****** explained they couldnt put posts in prior to panel, they had to put in posts as panels were built, there is no way we could have pre-marked for posts & again, we are not contractors!
