I called into Sin in Skin Ink to make a tattoo appointment and later in the day (12/24/2022) (4:30pm) came in wanting to get a few pieces done. They set up sizes and had it pulled up on the iPad. The apprentice, ****, said that her and her mentor will be doing the tattoo. The mentor would be observing but when she started the mentor was not there. She was doing the piece on my left forearm and messed up and I asked her about it and she just continued. Her mentor later comes out from his nap as he claims and I tell him about the mistakes when she started on the piece on my hands. I also had to correct her when she did the stencil for my pieces as well. She just drew them on with Sharpie and the mentor, ***** gave a suggestion and observed. I, again, said there were mistakes happening such as the shading and the linework. The mentor in a condescending tone told me it was done for a reason. I had voiced my concerns several times and was unheard. I expressed my anxiety to my sister and was very uncomfortable. My sister came up with an excuse to leave and ***** had me pay $125. I then went into the shop the following Wednesday (12/27/2022) after deciding that I didn't want them to fix it and to get a refund. ***** acted as if there was nothing wrong or that things were supposed to look the way it does for a reason. He continued to say he does not see how it is a mistake but will fix it because a client is unhappy. He planned on fixing it the next Monday (01/02/2022). I went to go get a second opinion and they said it was a mistake and that the tattoo will not be healed by the time ***** touches it up. That will further cause harm to my skin. I cancelled it on Friday (12/30/2022) and there were messages exchanged. ***** wanted to continue to charge me if I get more tattoos and refused to provide a refund. He was very rude in these messages. I later requested the paperwork I signed and he ignored it. I messaged again a few more times days after and he still did not respond. I requested through email, mail and then on Thursday (01/19/2023), I personally went to the shop with my sister and requested the paperwork. ***** was not there. Two of his workers shuffled through papers that were out in the open all over his front desk area. My sister, and I saw other clients’ paperwork, which included their basic medical info, address, signatures, driver’s license. It was out in the open to the fact that my sister and I could have snagged some papers and they would not have noticed. After about 15-20 minutes of waiting, they then informed me that they could not find my paperwork. They called *****, no answer, his phone was off. I then left my contact information with one of the female workers and asked her to mail it or at the least, send a picture. She texted me (01/26/2023) and messaged me back apologizing for her boss’s behavior. She claims that she has searched all over the building and could not find my paperwork. She found out that her boss, *****, has been “harboring” it and will not give it to them (messages are saved from the conversation). I have requested it several times and considering that he is hiding it and refusing to hand it over to his own employees, I have reason to believe that due to his unprofessionalism and negligent practices, my request will not be fulfilled as well as not being able to do anything with the permanent and poor tattoo that was done.
