I hired this attorney to get us a green card by filing I-130 and the related documents for me and my wife on family basis. She took the whole money in advance and then stopped responding promptly. She got our case denied where ***** stated that the signatures were missing. It was her duty to check all the signatures and then send. Upon inquiring with her she denied to admit her fault. Indeed she said it was ***** fault. So she should have made an appeal that she never did. Upon my repeated messages she is not ready for a personal meeting while I was in ******* and misbehaves with me. Now she has deactivated my account from the client portal and when I try to activate, she deactivates again. I need my full refund for wasting 3 years of mine whereas the process is of around one year. She is a fraud I have attached the payments made and the rest of the record is on her portal that she banned me from viewing.

This client hired my law firm to handle his I-130 application based on his citizen child while he and his wife lived in ********. At the time he retained our services, we filed his paperwork within two weeks of being retained on June 25, 2022 and obtained receipt numbers from ***** the same day via an online filing. These were shared with client immediately. We also informed client they could activate our confidential portal via MYCase, in order to get regular updates. Client struggled to do this and now claims we blocked him, when in actuality, he was unable or unwilling to download the corresponding app and to accept the system's request to add him to the portal. At one point during our relationship, he did manage to do this but then lost access again. Our office sent an automated reminder on how to access the portal which he now submits as 'proof' that he was blocked. This client has never been blocked by our office., In fact, we have over 137 communications with him via email, phone, text and WhatsApp in which he received regular updates and was repeatedly told about the processing time of his case. The ***** website, that handles his immigration papers, updates their processing times monthly. From the start, client was informed that his case would take at least 7 years for the government to process. Despite this, client insisted we must expedite his case and in my last communication with him, he indicated that I should inform ***** and the ******************** that he is 'famous" and as such should get his green card within 2 months. Despite numerous conversations and letters indicating that the US government does not expedite cases based on someone's fame, client insists my office has 'done something wrong' since he does not have a green card because of his alleged fame. To compound issues, client refused to speak to my staff or to adhere to simple basic manners when speaking to staff, insisting that because he was 'famous', he deserved special treatment and he did not need to wait like 'everyone else' for his green card. It must be noted that client delayed his own case by six months when he refused to provide us with additional info requested by ********************. At no time did we make any mistake in his filing nor did we refuse to submit an appeal. Client's understanding of the legal process is meager at best and he continues to assert that the fact that his green card has not arrived, even though he still needs to wait at least 5 years, is because of an alleged error my office committed. No error was committed. The relationship between attorney and client was anticipated to be at least 7 years in length. It has not even been a few months since our last submission to immigration when we finally submitted the evidence that he delayed on procuring. That evidence was submitted March 2024 and processing times since that date show at least 43 months to 84 months.

I am rejecting this response because the attorney is lying and making all up. She banned me from the client portal before i reported her to BBB, and I had very important documents uploaded on that portal that i can no more access she is making everything up just to save her face. If BBB cant do anything. I will go on my social media and tell the truth about the lawyer and business. I have uploaded proofs. I need my money back.

    Sincerely,

Consumer has once again, resorted to name calling and inflammatory language, as is testament to his abusive nature during our relationship.  His assertion that he was blocked and is unable to procure important documents is false; he had access to his entire file and has already received a SECOND paper copy of his file sent via ***** with tracking number #************ and received date of October 25, 2024. (prood with receipt is attached here) The first paper copy of his entire file was sent September 21, 2024. Still, he felt the need to levy a complaint against BBB in an attempt to continue harassment and blackmail of this law firm.  His assertion that we did not work on his case has been refuted conclusively with the attachments sent previously of letters and receipts showing all documentation was completed and that his case is processing normally and properly.  We have included over 143 pages to client( we were unable to attach it here due to space limits) to prove the work we have conducted on his case and that he has a copy of his entire file. Previous replies had other documents attached as well. Please note this packet was previously sent via mail to him and was available electronically for over 1 year. It must be asserted that Consumer has regularly attempted to threaten us into submission by claiming he will go to his social media pages and defame and disparage us, opening himself to potential repercussions. His constant threats and attempts at intimidation do not constitute a failure on our part. We have worked above and beyond for this client and he has proof of such, and is enjoying the rewards of that work by having his case continue with immigration. Now, he seeks a refund so he can enjoy his green card and the status he will obtain from our hard work, for free.
