      EXCELLENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT!
      My 60 foot, right angle curved front walk (approx 25 years old) was buckled due to tree roots that had pushed multiple slabs upward. Roots had also caused the walk to detach from the base of the concrete porch stairs. The crew removed all the old sidewalk, then worked DILIGENTLY to remove and cut back all the offending tree roots, some of which had grown to 6" in diameter or more. They installed a bank-run gravel base and allowed it to sit for a couple days. After the Memorial Day holiday, concrete was poured and finished in one day. They returned the following to day to remove all the forms which included some 90 degree curves, then backfilled all the forms areas with several cubic feet of topsoil that they brought in a trailer.
      The crews of 3 or 4 men each day worked continuously -- no loafing. And they responded to each my questions and concerns (especially about tree roots) without any nasty attitude.
      I could not be happier with the work - truly a professional job. I highly recommend Total Paving in Gurnee.
