    Brought a mantel clock in for maintenance which includes time setting. Received clock back. and they said clock was in perfect shape. Got clock home and would not keep time. I tried to adjust. Called keils clock shop and they said bring it in, no charge. After taking it back to them, they said it needs a new movement. (Over $500) Don't you think that they would of known that when it was in there. Sounds like they didn't do there job. They blamed it on the age of the clock. Just don't go there because they have an excuse for everything. They should refund my money because they didn't do what the receipt says. Better yet, there's no warranty. I wonder why?

    Look at my previous reply to ****** Complaint - Comment. He brought a clock in for a No Warranty Oiling. It says on his receipt No Warranty. We did not say his 27 year old clock was running perfect. When we returned his clock the 2nd time his clock was running on time at our shop. Please stop complaining about the same issue every day.     **** brought in an older mantle clock for a replacement of a new ****** movement. We installed the first one from the manufacturer and it had to be replaced. We ordered another new movement from the manufacturer (who gets it from *******). There is a 2- year warranty. I will contact **** to see what the problem is. What ever the issue is we will make it right at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE including starting over his 2 year warranty *****, Owner Keils Clock Shop in Belleville

    In May 2023 I brought my mantle clock in for cleaning and adjustment. When I picked it up in June I was told there was as a 3% surcharge to pay with a credit OR debit card. This wasnt disclosed either on the repair order or verbally when I dropped off the clock. Merchant fees are a part of doing business, and are good for the business because the payment is guaranteed (no returned checks). Theyre being disingenuous when claiming they cant afford a 3% merchant fee when theyre charging very high fees for their services.

    There is signs on both counters that state effective 1-1-22, there is a ****% convenience fee when use a credit card or debit card. When we call the customer we tell them the dollar amount that they owe.  We tell them check or cash.  We also tell them that if they use credit or debit cards they are charged an additional 3.5% fee.   We are a small business and truly appreciate our customers.  Any questions please do not hesitate to call our shop *************).

    i brought in an antique grandfather clock movement to be repaired. i even supplied the brass for the repair, when i inspected the repair it was NOT correctly repaired and the work was done by a hack! i was charged 500. when i got it back it was broken and the movement didn't work i had to find another clock repair shop and they are currently working on it.

    On 9/24/22, ***************** brought un a Colonial MFG ***** Grand Father movement that he needed a part made for the clock. On 10/9/22 he was quoted $500 to make the part only (no quaranee if the other parts of the clocks we in working order).  ***************** Ok to have the part made with him furnishing the piece of metal that he brought in with the clock.  ***************** also stated that he had to save up the money and could not pick it up until Feburay 2023.  I drove out to drop off the movement with the attached new part.   ***************** looked at the movement that I returned to him, handed me a envelope with money (I assumed it was $500.00) that he was quoted and agreed to on 10/9/2022. I said here is your receipt.  ***************** drove off.  I had to call the **************************** and file a complaint becuase ***************** took off and did not pay the full $500.00 that was agreed upon.  He later paid in full about 30 days later prior to taking him to collections.  We have over 65 years of clock experience and been in business for a long time.  Check out our reviews, stop by our shop at ************************************************** (largest clock shop (sales / repairs ) in the area.  We have been doing something right or we not be getting repeat business and customer from all over IL, MO, IN and elsewhere.  IF you have a problem contact me personally,  ***************************** and we will make it right.

    Keils clock shop did a fantastic job fixing not one but two of my clocks....they gave me an idea of what had to be done, and estimated the cost. I was very pleased with it and the service....both clocks work fantastic and i can't believe how fast i got them back...I highly highly recommend them for any clock services or repairs. The gentleman that waited on me was so very very helpful and knowledgeable....
