    I typically don't write reviews, but I thought this needed to be brought to light. Through a home warranty, ***** with Malherek Heating & Cooling had installed a new air handler for my family back in March / April of 2023. He did a good job and we were happy with the result. Happy enough to request his company through the home warranty when we had an issue with our outside heat pump which works in tandem with the air handler. At that point we were without heat in the house. The claim was put in on 12/5/2023 and Dary was out a couple of days later to look at it. All he really did was turn the air handler over to emergency heat and told me that he would have to work with the heat pump manufacturer's tech support to troubleshoot. He was scheduled to be back out on 12/12/2023. Day of that appointment, he cancelled last minute. From that point, I received no communication from *****. I called and texted him at least 6 - 8 times and nothing. I finally contacted the home warranty company again on 1/3/2024. They were able to get a hold of him within 10 minutes. They requested additional information from him on the diagnosis. He told them that he would have something for them by 1/5/2024. Nothing had been updated by 1/8/2024. I reached out to the home warranty company again and they contacted *****. During the call, he tells them that he does not know how to work on the outside unit and would not be able to continue with the service request. Something he could have told me or my home warranty company on the initial consult. My family of six will struggle this month due to a huge electric bill and only because ***** didn't have the courtesy to respond to his customer on a job he was hired to do.For those who are looking through the reviews and trying to make a decision about Malherek Heating & Cooling, keep digging. I'm not the only customer that he has left in this state of limbo.
