My mother was living at Bridgeway Assisted Living in Bensenville. She passed away in April 2024. I cleaned out her apartment and had it inspected within a week of her death. I was told the security deposit would be mailed to me. Contractually, Bridgeway is required to return the security deposit within 45 days. As of December 2024 they have failed to do so.I made numerous attempts to get the security deposit including calling, leaving messages, and going on site. When I was at the assisted living facility, I was told their system was down and they would mail me the ********** this time, the contacts at Bridgeway will not return any correspondance. They have given no reason for failure to return the security deposit.

On April 21, 2024 I turned in the keys for an apartment my mother was renting from Bridgeway. My mother passed away the prior week. I received a call from a representative at Bridgeway who let me know that ****** evaluated the unit and everything was in order. Per the lease agreement, Bridgeway was to refund the security deposit of $1500 within 45 days. It has been over sixty days and they have failed to refund the money. I called multiple times, leaving voice messages for ***************** (the executive director) none of which were returned. I went to the apartment complex in person and spoke with ************ on May 30th. ************ told me I would have the security deposit refund within ten days. On June 3, I received an email from ************ indicating that I needed to provide POA paperwork. I provided the documentation requested on June 3. I have not heard back since that time. I have left multiple voice messages but none have been returned. I would like the money returned in accordance with the lease agreement and verbal commitment.
