    We recently purchased a new house in Hillsboro, Illinois. We made the decision to go solar. Vista did not know the Illinois state laws or maybe they did and that is why they filled out the application incorrectly. They put on the application that 28 solar panels would be going on our roof which was never the case. The permits were approved based off that information. They had the post pounded in my front yard which is against illinois state law. Now they refuse to have the post removed at their cost. I am sick to death of looking at them daily. Vista will no longer take our return our calls and texts

    They sent a company without our knowledge to remove the post. One of the contractors they sent was arrested for being heavily intoxicated after my wife walked out back and found him fully exposed urinating on our garage. We are now out more money from having to fill in the holes they left, hire someone to repair our yard and power wash the garage. The man they did not arrest did not complete the job of removing the post. He also left those in the yard for two weeks resulting in us having to hire someone to move them where nobody would get hurt. This company did not resolve it because we are still out a lot of money

    In November, we purchased a $120,000 solar ground mount system from Grid Solar and they contracted through Vista Energy Renewables. Vista is the company responsible for the install and they are the ones that we have complaints with. Over the last eight months, they have botched our install on several occasions, which has delayed the project well past our scheduled completion date. Our salesperson informed us that another customer was finished in three months, but we are going on eight. Our salesperson has remained an advocate for us despite having cut ties with vista - aside from being subcontracted by vista last week to complete our install. We have no idea when the project will be operational and able to be used.

    We have made three $300 payments towards our solar loan while the system is still not operational, resulting in us having made double energy payments. We will have made another in two weeks, and there is no indication of when they will finish. We'd like to request that they reimburse us for those payments, but we have been unable to speak to anyone with authority for months. ***** *******, the account manager, simply will not return our calls and is never available when we call. We're waiting for a call from her supervisor, but I doubt we'll hear from them without outside intervention. We have been very patient and understanding, and to their credit, they've fired several people who worked on our project, including the person that used to do *****'s job. If I could return this for a full refund, I would.

    We also have serious concerns about the quality of construction (see photos). If I could, I'd return this product for a full refund. A retroactive discount of 10% would be fair, but all we're asking for is a 1% refund, assuming they complete the project within a month; every month they delay is another $300 on top of our regular energy bill.

    We have rectified all the customer's system issues, the system is fully operational.  We are refunding the customer $850.00.  We are waiting on the customer's signed agreement to sent it to him.  Phase 1 has been approved by Illinois Shines and the ICC.  The system is now moving into Phase 2.  We are waiting on Illinois Shines to finish Stage 2.

    I am rejecting this response because:



    We don't have the document they're supposed to send. We have asked several times to have that sent over and have been waiting several days. We also believe that the money should be returned without the need for any signatures or agreements on our part. They have also asked us to resolve the issue without having seen the contract they are sending or the money.
