Tide Cleaners ************ location lost two of my items and they have yet to give me a resolution on where the items are. I have called and emailed and I am being either ignored (their voicemail box is full) or being told to call back the next day. This has been going on for over a week. Not only did they charge me for my items they lost two expensive blouses. I need resolution ASAP.Customer Answer

Tide cleaners lockers ruined my expensive $500 wool coat. It significantly shrank. The sleeves are shorter by at least 2 inches and the length is shorter by at least 4 inches. There is no way to contact them (no phone number) except to submit a complaint online. Its is very frustrating, the lockers are located in my building and I used them frequently and never had this issue before. Very disappointing, I really loved that coat and its an expensive one. I wore it for less than 2 seasons. I hope they reimburse me for the cost of my coat so I can just buy a new one - this one is unwearable. I can provide a receipt for the coat.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.They said that the locker is owned by someone else who would reach out to me directly. No one reached out to me and they didnt provide contact info for the locker owner. No one responded to my complaint submitted on tide website either.

Please be advised I have been a loyal and regular customer at the Tide Dry Cleaner since February 2023. On Thursday 12/7 I sent four pairs of Sweat pants into Tide Cleaners to get hem. After measuring my size, one of the employees said that the manager would be in touch with me about a price quote. I said to hold off until I got a price quote. I also presented a 50% off coupon good until 12-15-23. On the morning of 12/8 the manager called me back and left a voice message which quoted the job to be $72 ( 4 sweats to be hem at $18 per hem). I thought it was expensive but would be willing to do it if they would honor the 50% off coupon. I stopped by after work and one of the workers took my 50% off coupon and attempted to input into the system to give me the discount. It did not work. They told me that the manager would call me. I did not hear from the manager so I went to teh store on 12/11. The manager was there and said that he would not honor the 50% off coupon. I told him that it was too expensive and I would prefer to have my sweats hem somewhere else where it was less expensive. I also pointed out that the hem job was more expensive than the sweats. The manager told me that it was too late and that the job was already done. I told him that was unacceptable because I did not authorize it, especially knowing how much the job cost. I asked him if he could offer me anything. He said just a $5 coupon. I said that was unacceptable. I asked him straight up "so you are telling me that there is nothing you can do to help me and that I am out of luck?" He said "yes, that's correct" I asked him one more time "are you sure?" His excuse was that he left a voice message. I told him I was at work and could NOT pick up the phone and a voice message is NOT suffice for me authorizing the work to be done. Hello,
When the customer came in to get the sweat pants altered, the manager was not in store.
We had attempted to reach the customer multiple times via phone call. As the customer admits, a voicemail was also left. Because the customer was a regular, we decided to send the items to our alteration company and start the alteration process in case the customer needs these items.When it comes to the coupon. Tide Cleaners is a franchise and this location has not had 50 percent off coupons in months if not close to a year. And even if there was any valid coupon presented, not a single coupon takes a single ***** off of alteration service. And this is the exact reason why the coupon was not going through in our system. There was no valid coupon presented that takes money off on alterations because no such coupon exists.
And despite that, we were willing to take a $5 hit and provide the customer come savings.

I am rejecting this response because:The business is once again missing the POINT. I did NOT under any circumstances authorize them to hem my sweat pants, especially given the fact that it was $72. Very very expensive. To make matters further complicated, the hem job was messed up. I was able to buy a new pair and asked them to fix it free of service based on the fact that the original job was messed up and the fact that they proceeded with a transaction that I once again did NOT authorize. They refused. As an analogy, I pointed out that when mechanics fix an expensive car job they always wait for authorization from the customer. This is no different.
Further complicating the matter, I did not appreciate the rude, belligerent, and defensive tone that the manager had towards me. After I gave the manager 3 tries to help problem solve a solution to the problem, his response to me was basically to say "tough luck." As I walked out of the store I asked him if he was sure that's how he wanted to resolve this problem with me. As a loyal customer for over a year that is not the proper way to show respect towards a loyal customer as was pointed out in the response.
I am requesting a $72 refund as a settlement. This job should never have even been authorized. If the business agrees to a $72 refund then I will drop the complaint and give consideration to returning as a customer. Until then, I will accept nothing less as a settlement.
