On December 19, 2023,I signed a Restoration Contract with **** (*******) ******** of Alpha Omega Home Remodeling and Restoration. We gave Mr. ******** a good faith down payment of $8500, to secure permits and begin securing materials needed for our Garage Restoration. After a few weeks went by we contacted Mr. ******** to see where he was with beginning the restoration, He began giving excuses, blaming the Village of ********, telling us we needed plans and a Plat Survey. We gave him an additional $1200 for Architect plans and we paid for our own Survey, because the quote he gave us was so high. That is when we became suspicious, but gave him the benefit of the doubt. After 7 months of excuses and postponing AND NO WORK BEGAN, we fired Mr. ******** and requested our down payment of $8500 to be returned since HE NEVER BEGAN ANY WORK, the plans he initially gave us WAS OF THE WRONG GARAGE and when I mentioned this , he later sent the correct plans, which by looking at them did look like it cost $1200 to do.We have contacted Mr. ******** many times and he has Ghosted us, We send a Formal letter ourselves and retained a lawyer, who also sent him a letter. NO RESPONSE.Upon further research we found THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, Plaintiff-Appellee, v. ******* ********, a/k/a **** ********, Defendant-Appellant.Under a different spelling of his first name, This man has committed FRAUD before. We request he return our full downpayment of $8500, and also request the BBB mark him so other consumers a protected from fraud.

We used Alpha Omega Home Remodeling and Restoration to replace our roof and siding after receiving hail damage in May 2023. We requested an aesthetic change (moving a window) which we knew would not be covered by insurance. **** contacted us in November 2023 and said he was able to start the next day due to good weather. He also informed us at that time that our total due out of pocket would be $6600, which included $1600 to move the window, $3800 in material and installation for vertical 16" wide ****** board, and $1200 to install new awning soffit on the front porch. We weren't expecting the costs for the ****** board or awning soffit, and requested that our job not be started yet so we had time to plan for those additional costs, but **** was insistent that he'd already ordered the materials and it would only increase our cost to delay the project. He offered that we wouldn't need to pay the out-of-pocket cost till spring, so we proceeded. Throughout the project **** let us know about several repairs that needed to be done that may not be covered by insurance, but indicated they would be submitted in order to see what could be covered. He supplied photos of damage, but did not provide a cost estimate for any of these repairs. In May 2024, he stopped by our house to measure our garage door and two side doors for replacement, which were covered in the claims and checks he'd received from our insurance company. He also dropped off a bill in the amount of $20,150, stating we need to pay this full amount before he is able to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Our claims agent advised us to have him submit the bill with supplemental material before we pay him directly. Over 3 months later, he is refusing to submit the claim and also refuses to install the doors (which have been paid for) or finish the siding. In addition, he claims our insurance still owes him over $100,000, but is unable or unwilling to explain what unpaid work or charges he is referring to.
