This company is harassing me and my household. We had a storm 3 months ago, with hail. This company keeps calling the house phone leaving messages wanting to visit. They call from different numbers, claiming to be different people with the same title (marketing). Then they somehow got my e-mail address and **** phone number. They have been sending emails demanding to come give me a quote for roofing repair. Again, two different names with the same title. Then they call my **** phone and leave messages. I have blocked the number and email address. They continue to call and leave messages on the **** ******** call block apparently doesn't work) which I keep getting notifications for. I have never called this company, or had any communication with them. It's a violation for them to be constantly calling/communicating with me. If this company which supposedly has been around for over 10 years has to resort to cold calling and harassing people for jobs then I wouldn't want them anywhere near the property. If I want a quote I will call a company first. In addition, I am NOT the homeowner, this is NOT my house. They claim that they are working on my neighbors house. They are not. This is a scam.I also have 'no trespassing/private property' signs posted at this property. If they attempt to approach I will take any necessary steps to protect myself and my family.I I consider this type of business behavior to be harassment, at least, but it seems much more like some sort of scam.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/26/2023

    Dear ****,

This letter is in response to the complaint you filed in regards to calls/e-mails from our sales team.

Goldfinch Builders does not make sales through marketing calls or e-mails, and never has. After some investigation we identified who the person making those unauthorized marketing calls was, and it was shut down immediately. It was and isolated case from a single salesman WITHOUT authorization to use such methods for selling.

We thank you for bringing this situation to our attention, as hope this helps us correct and do better in the future.

We apologize for the way you were approached and rest assured you will not be contacted again.

Please contact me directly if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Although, I don't 100% believe that they don't do cold calling marketing. Everyone does, including door-to-door, just that this company seemed to be harassing in their practices.  Apparently 'one' employee was engaging in un-authorized marketing.  I AM concerned, however, that this person has my email, Cell Phone, home phone, and address, and possibly an ax to grind. Not sure what can be done about that, but it's concerning.

    Sincerely,

    *********************
